  • I agree with others...Tori seems more sedate and less frenetic/passionate now. Maybe it's the inevitable effects of being a mother.

  • i love the sound when she touches the side of the piano to quiet it for the start of horses. i hear that sound so many times during her first few albums.. and those little clicks at the start of Boys for Pele, the random hisses, her breathing, the sound of spit on her lips when she sings the words "baker baker" on Under the Pink. can't explain why i love those noises so much, they just feel so organic. i miss them, those little details are "cleaned up" on her albums now.

  • 2 pessoas não gostam de Cavalos.

  • she tries to rub herself against the chair.

  • can't stop listening the 5:00 - 5:08 part...so beautiful

  • This is my #1 performance of all time. Amazing.

  • This is footage from the Dutch musicprogram "2 Meter Sessies" with Jan Douwe Kroeske. They have been making some amazing musicrecordings since 1987. If you look for "tori amos 2 meter sessies" you will find more like this :)

  • Isnt this beautiful?

  • Such a beautiful song on its own but with hints of Fool on the Hill..one of my favourite beatles tunes...its just heaven. And love that sweater!!! *glee*

  • what is this from?

  • i'm in love with this version of horses :) i just so relate to this right now :)!!

  • 3:20 - 3:30

Some of the moments in Tori's music literally take my breath away

  • my god she is amazing. this is one of my favorites.

  • this vid gives me the first smile in days :) ... just brilliant

  • she is was so raw in those days... she still is beautiful but she had this essence to her 10 years ago that she doesn't quite have now.

  • i agree

  • Well she's older now, and she's had work done . . . which makes her look a lot more - well - odd . ..

  • sometimes i think that between venus and strange little grrls that there's a missing episode

  • Genius!...These two songs fit together so well.

  • God, this has always been one of my favourite songs of hers but this takes it to a whole new level *0* that's one of the things I (and probably many others) love about her : how she lets her songs evolve and they're never quite the same.

  • ~*`And if there is a way to find you, I WILL find you, but will you find me if Neil makes me a tree

    An Afro, a Pharaoh

I can't go, you said so

But threads that are golden don't break easily`*~

  • my favorites lines as well

  • I don't get that. It's the first time I've listened to this. What does she mean there?

  • I miss these days. :-)

  • I assume you're referring to this Tori era. I'm with you totally. She was such a badass during this period.

  • this was the best Tori era for sure!!

  • No, it wasn't. It was a reply to superflipp. Go to the 2nd page, and read his comment, which was a reply to elkejusttori's comment. :) And anyway how you learned didn't depend on Tori's teaching skills. I don't know what tutor she will be like. The only thing I know that she doesn't teach her daughter how to play on the piano for some reason. (I heard her saying this in an interview.)

  • Sorry, I'm gonna get Tori crazy. Anyway, she did not want to teach tash to play when she was three, and she could not find a piano instructor who would teach such a young age. So, Tori put on a béret, and became Ms. Paris.

The interview this is from was Tori with Ryan Seacrest. Anyway, it is a EXTREMELY FUNNY interview; I love Tash. She will be an amazing woman someday.

  • I love this woman, she is absolutely amazing.

  • like listning to an angel

  • Thank you so much for sharing. This is one of the most beautiful performances I've ever seen in my life. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!

  • i love tori amos so much

  • This is absolutely outstanding! Tori at her candid best! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

  • awesome. love how her headphones fall off and she keeps on rocking.

  • oh my

  • Then obviously you've never heard that sound...cause I have, and this ain't it.

  • How witty. :D

  • i love the song horses. i actually listen to it when i'm horse riding.

  • Tori puts her heart and soul into every performance she does. This is why she is so great.

  • why isn't BFP, and Tori herself, about 50,000 times more revered by the general music industry?

  • Because unfortunately, most of the people who buy records are idiots, and the music industry is a soulless machine that doesn't care about art or talent. But if it's any consolation, I understand completely where you're coming from: BFP is absolutely one of the most brilliant works that I've ever heard, and this is coming from someone who studies and is absolutely obsessive about music.

  • Yes, that's all very true. Looking at the Grammy nominations this year, you'd never know we had the amazing musical output that we did. I'm glad to hear some praise for BFP. I remember hearing somewhere that a musical analysist is planning to write an entire book on the album. Hopefully it does it some justice.

  • this woma is the real God

  • Damn I love Tori Amos. I can't belive how magnificent this beautiful and absurdly gifted woman is. I really envy the man in her life.

  • Amazing!!!!!!

  • Excellent! The great Tory plays well again!

  • What is that supose to mean?

  • Why is that comment than signed as 'bad'?

And actually I have dyslectie and I'm not English! I sit in the fourth class of VWO here, and thats the highest niveau of school in my country, so I'm certainly nog stupid!

  • Looks like you're having trouble too, maybe you should stop pointing fingers at others until you sort it out.

  • You wouldn't be a good teacher that's for sure. Maybe ElkejustTori needs english lessons, but you certainly need to work on your manner a lot.

  • Chills.

  • This Version is the best ever!!!

  • YES!!!

i want to almost say this is the best video of her ever...but probably haven't seen them all.

  • God I love this..

  • Thnaks so much for posting. I'm looking for this video for a long long time, is amacing!
