i love jetblue airways , vivo en República Dominicana y normalmente un vuelo desde aqui a nueva york en cualquier aerolinea lleva 4 horas pero según lo que me ha dicho mi madre (ella sí ha viajado en jetblue) ...jetBlue hace el vuelo de República Dominicana a Nueva York en 3 horas y media es un super avion y muy comodo eeeh ...según mi madre.

Actually they are executing a maneuver to shed some airspeed altitude and to put some space in between the aircraft in front. This is not very common in commercial jets though.

@PAY6453 oh ok lol, didnt know there was another aircraft ahead them... as for the losing airspeed and altitude part, they could have jus used their flaps to reduce speed which in turn would have made them descend faster. but then again idk what their v-speeds or weight data was so i guess that was the best thing to do in such short time. cool, thanks for the info!

@5621608 - Were you born in Aruba or The Netherlands? Do you know of many people who moved to Aruba from the USA and were successful down there? I'm a college teacher (science/pharmacology/anatomy/­physiology) and have been to "your" beautiful island five times so far. LOVE IT THERE! Honestly, do you think I could make a decent living there?? .... And to those who have never been to Aruba, I've been to MANY places and MANY islands...Aruba is #1 BY FAR! Most of the people there are SO KIND!

@msk7046 >>there are always possibilities...but alot of red tape and paper work required. Not easy these days. Lots of immigration in the past has caused a stop for employnment. Usually a requirements for many jobs is that you are Aruban

I like the view we get of the runway @ about 1:08 before turning to line up. I flew there 30 yrs ago on AA 747-SP. That was a big bird on a small island. The wind never stopped blowing there.
