Funny how you can go through about 12 songs worth of solos from Richard. But Li and Totman, you might get through one. However those two can't hold a fucking note to Richard. The power in simplicity is what drives this band. The booming slow chards from Reise, Reise is just plain EPIC.

Richard himself said he has poor technique when playing, but the beauty of Richard's riff playing and solos is that it's so unconventional. I wouldn't go as far as saying he's the best player (because he's not) but he has created something that sounds innovative, great and makes full use of whatever technique he can play. I'd compare him to to Tom Morello, with the difference that Richard makes music you can listen to all day ... unlike RATM.

Rammstein is simple in every way besides lyrics; easy to play, and listen to. That's what makes them so excellent at producing music. They never over-cross their boundaries. That's why they've created six of the highest quality albums in music, in my opinion.
