The warrant doesn't tell you anything ever. The affidavit used to get the warrant tells the tale. I would be very curious to see what was in the warrant affidavit.
Anti-riot act of 1968 give the police the right to do this, believe it or not. The police did nothing wrong however the judge has to have the peoples rights in mind when signing a warrant. If they can prove she didn't with the information she has then the city is responsible.
When a city feels threaten they impose martial law evenif they don't say it. A system of rules that take effect if the military takes control of the normal administration of justice. Although this wont play out in most courts.

I see little difference between the two. I believe McCain is less anti-gun then Obama who is overtly, an anti- second amendment cheerleader. That was the antithesis of my point.
My point was that can't resign yourself to police power, you have to know yours rights and exercise and demand them all the time (and educate cops when you can/must.) Even at a traffic stop, you don't have to be ridiculous, but you have to insist on them. If you don't act like a maniac, and you're comfortable exercising them, you actually reduce tension between the two of you.
Its what reminds them that they are an instrument of the law, not the Law itself.

I lived in China & saw State abuse of ppl. It wasn't this rash, unreasonable or violent. Was calmer & more accepted. Got that way b/c ppl became accustomed by apologizing for it when it affected people they didn't like.

I saw this on the television news. They showed video from in the house. The house had many buckets of human feces stored up, ropes, shields made from 55 gallon drums, and caltrops (throw them on the ground to cause flats, maim horses). I don't think it is right. I've gotten used to the fact that people in power don't care about right and wrong. If morality doesn't keep them from hurting people, the next step is to hope that laws will. The more blatantly false their excuse is for arresting someone, the more obvious it is that they no longer think that the laws apply to them, the more worried I get.
