I talked with some FSP folks about this very thing this summer, Dave, and I'd personally go back to making silly short films and more non-political writing, and work on a feature film I've wanted to make for quite some time. I'd help two of my friends open up their own icecream shop (something the current beaurocracy/gov makes very difficult to do on a limited budget.) I'd probably, like you, stay active in all things liberty and freedom oriented, but just do a lot more nonpolitical stuff.

If we were already in a "free" country, I would work to educate people on how bad it used to be, how we became free, and how the younger people need to continually be vigilant, to make sure tyranny never rears its ugly head again. I would help teach younger, upcoming liberty activists how to make sure we never have tyranny again. Oh yeah, and I would also do some volunteer work at church, some fishing, hunting, working out, you know, fun stuff ;-)

I'd go back into business for myself. I used to really love working hard, doing the best job I could do and making customers and employees happy. Being independent like that was the best. The excessive regulation, licenses, fees, audits, but most importantly, the constant fear of massive fines for violating ever-changing rules drove me out. I think one of the most important things is to use free speech correctly and not use it as a means to harass others. It is important to have an educated youth and not allow an influx of people from other countries that are uneducated. If they can't come here legally their not educated enough to be in this country. The majority of the prison population are uneducated people that end up there. You may have been arrested in this country but that doesn't represent the majority or prisoners.
