The most accepted theory for SIDS, is when you put the baby in the crib to go to bed and the baby falls asleep on it's stomach. Since the infant is too weak to turn over on it's side, or front, so the infant is painfully breathing on it's crushed lungs and breathing in the object it's sleeping on. There for the baby cannot breathe after the lungs finally give out. Pleeeease pass this message on too those who has experenced SIDS! God Bless!!!!!!!!
Yeah, but in 1988, not much was known about SIDS. The "Back to Sleep Campaign" didn't start up until 1994. Before that, parents were told to put their babies on their stomachs and sides to sleep. I was born in 1990, and my mother was told that putting me on my side to sleep would prevent me from choking to death on saliva or vomit. Times change. And knowing this now or pointing it out doesn't make this family's loss any easier to make them feel any better. Show some empathy.

My aunt had 3 miscarriages, two were boys and the other was of twins, she had lost hope and never thought she would have a baby, after her 4th attempt she delivered a baby boy in November 4 2010, she still has the little fetus of the twins, she says that she is sad, but not too sad because she knows her babies are in heaven in Gods care, and that someday she will be up there and she will be reunited with her 4 precious babies.

@musicandtoys I totally understand what you're going through. Our babies are the same age. Travis was born 12/16/87 and died at the sitter's just after being put down for his morning nap on 03/23/88. Hard to believe he'd be 23 years old this month. His sister was 5 years old at the time. She is now 28 and has 2 sons of her own. We adopted an infant boy from Korea in 1989. I am so sorry. Some people don't realize the pain there is in losing someone you loved -but it's espeically hard when you haven't known them for very long. I feel for you so very much. My grandmother died of cancer when I was four, and my grandfather isn't doing so well...(he's 94). Losing someone is so very sad, but I'm sure she's with God and he's is taking good care of her. @musicandtoys I totally understand what you're going through. Our babies are the same age. Travis was born 12/16/87 and died at the sitter's just after being put down for his morning nap on 03/23/88. Hard to believe he'd be 23 years old this month. His sister was 5 years old at the time. She is now 28 and has 2 sons of her own. We adopted an infant boy from Korea in 1989. You never "get over it"...just "through it". They're always on our mind... Thank you for sharing this.

I am so sorry. Some people don't realize the pain there is in losing someone you loved -but it's espeically hard when you haven't known them for very long. I feel for you so very much. My grandmother died of cancer when I was four, and my grandfather isn't doing so well...(he's 94). Losing someone is so very sad, but I'm sure she's with God and he's is taking good care of her. Bless you, your family, friends, and others that were effected with pain.

I am so sorry,i cant even imagine the pain you and your daughter and the rest of the family went through. My brother Todd died a little over 2wks ago and i am so so deeply sad. He was 42 and i sometimes come in here to know others understand what im feeling. I cant even imagine having my daughter die and only be 3mths and who knew when u kissed her and put her to bed. I gave birth to a 34 week premature baby 8 months back, she was a still born, YOu were really lucky to be able to see your baby smile & hear her cry & play with her.All i could do was hold my lifeless baby & cry over her. God bless you as he is certainly blessing our little babies.

Im a mother of 5. 4liveing. No mother should ever feel the pain of the death of there child. Only people dream the lord would send an angel.
