@trethousandgt One pair is a black UK size 11, so it would be a US size 12. I can't recall the size of the white 'unstoppable'. They've been in storage for years, so I can't remember. Fortunately I didn't throw them away.
@bolder2009 Yea i would only be interested in the black pair because its my size. I can't make an offer until I see the condition but the pair in the video I sold for 90 bucks. I know you will see some people asking 700 dollars for these on eBay but Ill tell you they wont ever get anything close to that. Ill inbox you my email, when you can just send over some pics
@trethousandgt I'll send you the pics when I get a chance, sometime this week. Everything has a value. I only want a fair price that takes into account the rarity of the shoes, its condition and its potential value as a collectors item.
Thank you so much for making this video! It's very informative. I do not know much about vintage shoes. lol When you say 'go a half size up', does this apply to both men and women sizes in this model?
@7White7Night7 Hi, yes. When I say go a half size up it apply's to both men and women. Here the thing, this is a mens shoe so lets say for a men's nike air force 1 you wear a 7.5, then I would pick up an 8 in these.
@trethousandgt Thanks for the quick response! And I also forgot to mention. I noticed that some of these have two of those metal lace spacers while some have just one (such as the one you have featured in this video). Is this feature the difference between mens and womens?
@trethousandgt I think that they originally came with 2 pairs of lace. 1 was plain and the other had metalic accents. Both had those metal spacers. But I suppose that one would never really know as they are passed around to different collectors. It's interesting to note that there are 3 different colors > Black, White and Red. There are also two variations of these as well. All three colors were made with either gold or silver accents. Thanks again for your responses! Happy New Year!
@7White7Night7 Yea, I remember seeing some pairs with gold accents and scratching my head (I figured those were the women's pairs but wasn't certain.) I've seen the white and red pairs (both very nice). Happy New Year to you as well! :)
My mom got me these shoes back in the day. I have these shoes both in red & black. My whole school used to rock these joints back in Jr high in 90'-91'. L.A. Gear would be fools to not retro these shoes again right NOW! In the meantime I will treasure the ones I have.
@Lizbeth21000 I just created a facebook page to bring back these sneakers, I've also had a petition going on for quite some time (and someone had a petition up even longer than me) If we want these again we should make it known as much as possible.
I owned a pair of these back in the day...they were the coolest shoes ever, and I was the only one in my class who had a pair. Too bad I don't know what happened to them:/
I have a pair in white. They look flawless from far away but close up you can see the leather cracking. I don't wear them often. But I do wear them. I am only 20 years old. And these shoes were made in 1989 I think. I might track down another pair of LA Gear. I just bought another pair of retro British Knights hightops too. You're right. LA Gear runs small. But BKs run bigger. My womens 8.5 LA Gear are the same fit as my womens 7 British Knights. Love these. I want more retro kicks.
With BKs and LA Gear, do they make the same models slightly different from men's to women's? Because I notice small differences with yours and mine. The LA Gear logo on the back looks different. And mine came with two pairs of laces, and two of those metal lace holders on each shoe. And with BKs, my crystal editions have a different tongue design then the ones on a picture I've seen but look the same other than that. Why is this?
@MaeganG1803 Its possible. The mens pair comes with two sets of laces too but I didn't have them. With the crystal edition bk's the differences are between the Kids version and the adult version
Is it possible to repair the cracked leather on my LA Gear? And the tag on the BK hi tops says "7" and they fit like women's. But are you saying that the kids versions of those have less detailed tongue designs? I have another pair of BKs that are in a men's size. The Ambassador edition hi tops from the Hammer commercial. I noticed that these have a gold and white lining of the BK logo inside and a detailed tongue. Not on the women's. Just says BK in big letters.
@MaeganG1803 You could take them to a shoe repair place and see if they can condition the leather and maybe help it a little. As for the BK hi tops your pair is probably a size 7 womens shoe and the Kids version has some slight differences in design ultimately keeping with the same all around look. If you can send me pictures of the Mens version and the womens version that would be helpful, defynewyork@gmail.com
@mexicankidhero fuhk u he didn't rape that little boy because after mj died his dad shot himself in the head and that's when he confessed that it was a lie to get money so u can burn and rot in hell with all of the other bastards who still believe he raped him!!!
@nolafb Hey, you looking for the retro's or the originals? Personally I would go a half size up they tend to run snug. I typically wear an 11.5 in most Jordan's and had to go a half size up on these
I have two or three pairs. Original. One pair is white. I would sell them for an appropriate price if someone was interested.
