About 3-4 seconds in when he's juggling the real knife, you can see the fake knife on the back of his hand. After that he conceals the back of his hand until he smashes the cup.
The spinning table isn't evenly round which can be seen when it spins. By giving it a quick spin (as he does just before he smashes the cup) he can tell where the knife is.

@nickeluring Yeah, you can also see in frame by frame that a frame skips when the knife "goes through" his hand.
