Casualty count of 300,000 was promulgated by the Nanjing War Crimes Tribunal, based on eyewitnesses and reports such as the telegram of January 1938 by Harold Timperley, a journalist in China. Tokyo Tribunal gave an estimated verdict over 200,000, the figures included over 155,000 buried bodies, but do not take into account those persons whose bodies were destroyed by burning, drowning, or other means.

In 1948, international Military Tribunal for the Far East also tried following crimes committed by Japan during World War II. and gave verdicts on
1) "Class A" (crimes against peace) - verdict - guilty as charged
2) "Class B" (war crimes) - guilty as charged
3) "Class C" (crimes against humanity) - Guilty as charged
The first refers to their joint conspiracy to start and wage the war, and the latter two refer to atrocities, one of the most notorious of these being the Nanking Massacre.

It was not witnessed by Japapese reporter. That reporter wrote it on Japanese newspaper in 1938 just for "big mouth".
It could be a "big mouth" because those 211 people were soldiers with guns fought the battle . If those 211 people were just civilians, it couldn't be a "big mouth".
If you believe the reporter, they were just brave soldiers, not guilty. If you don't believe the reporter, there was not such killing, and they were also not guilty.

Chinese riots attacked foreigners in Beijing, and that was why foreign army troops, including Japanese troops were admitted to be stationd in China. Japanese troops who fought at Marco-Polo bridge were legally stationed at Beijing, by agreement of Chinese government.

First no man can kill 211 armed man simply with 2 knives. Thats bull shit. In 1938 report, the reportor took pictures of 2 killing civilians. 2 man toured amoung Jap army and bragged about the killing, which were also reported. Tokyo Court ruling in 2000 was that evidence prove the pictures and the reports were truthful. This is another evidence of Nanking massacre. Why killing of civilians& unarmed POW were rewarded? So it was a common practice for Jap army to kill Chinese civilians.

There is no such picture that Mukai and Noda were killing somebody.
Tokyo District Court said that, just it is defficult to ask the responsibility of defamation by newspaper.
The Court didn't tell anything about the historical fact, if it was true or not.

Again, remembering history is not to spread hatre. But we, as human, should not forget any such massacre. Truthfully restort the historical facts is also a comfort to these innocent civilian killed by Jap Army. History tend to repeat itself, we remember so that it wont happen again. Lewis Smythe wrote only 2400 murder in Nanking. Both of Smythe and Rabe reported population of Nanking was approx. 200,000-250,000. It was impossible to kill 300,000, more than its population.

The key issue is that Nanjing Massarc really took place. The evidence is given by Chinese civilian survivors trustworthy western eye-witness such as Searle Bates, Dr. Robert Wilson, Princeton and Harvard Med School educated American,
John Rabe's, a Nazi German who could not even bare the horri. Innocent civilians were buried alive, used as targets for bayonet practice, shot in large groups and thrown into the Yangtze River.
