Watching this film on TV right now. It's pricelessly bad. I watched it thinking it was a lampoon of bad movies because it feels like something Tim & Eric would make. The 'monster' actually crosses off a 'to-do' list that says 'transform self into monster.' Also the setup for the scene you see here makes this scene even more lame and confusing than it appears here. He just kind of mills about in a freshwater lake then attacks them - with shots of saltwater sea life in stock footage. Heh.
lol. that is true. i was watching this on tv the other day and thought i saw tennis shoes one time when he was walking into his lab. they looked like red converse.
This movie was the shit. These were the glory days when movies were good and how they were meant to be.. Not these shitty movies today like the Dark Knight and Iron Man
I knew a lot of the folks who made this turd. Jack Tamul, Don Barton, etc. they filmed in and around my hometown of Orange Park, Fl. when I was a kid. God what piece of crap. But yes a the work of a genius no doubt.
Did you read about this movie in the Florida times union paper on 10/25/2009? it seem that it hasn't completely died yet. this film is making a comeback . The paper said that it was filmed at marineland, you said in your comment that it was Orange park. I read that it was made in 1971. I was born in 1972 so I wouldn't know. I wonder how much it cost to make? the ZAAT costume alone must have been at least two, maybe three dollars?
LoooooooL I watched this last week.

Love the scene at 0:26 -
You can just hear the director say "Okay now, action".
Thats what bad movies are made of, people.
Thank God for Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Yeah, i'm watching this right now too. For a sea monster he has a hard time in the water, but seems to be able to draw pretty good.

i love how the marine monster had such a hard time moving through the water lol

I read that in one scene of the movie there was an editing mistake where you can see Zaat wearing tennis shoes! LOL

Say what you like about the guys who made "Disaster Movie", but at least they had some grasp of basic editing technique.
Was this film actually released?

This is the greatest scene ever in a horror movie. It truly is the embodiment of terror and an example to all directors, watch and learn Scorsese.
