i dont think the "obamanauts", as "NoGuff" cleverly calls obama supporters, claim "everyone" was for Obama. he did receive more votes than anyone, ever; but states like Ohio, Florida, Virginia and North Carolina were dead heats heading into E-day, so yea, it was close. Our Country Deserves Better led a hateful campaign based on fabrications and quarter-truths; certainly not what our country deserved. As a woman, i was offended that gov. palin held zero press conferences during her candidacy.

Remember that literally THOUSANDS of the votes Obama got were taken by homeless people offered a meal and taken by bus to vote in mass. Quite sad that they used those poor people that way! Also sad that they are so dishonest. ACORN registered thousands of false names many times over just to help steal the vote. ACORN didn't merely register "thousands," but 200,000+ new voters in FL alone. Considering 50 states (not 58) it adds up, basically to Obama's win margin. That's suspect, especially considering the fraudulent registrants & the homeless (who are not eligible).

This is my point, IA. These "controversies" are largely manufactured diversions. You know why the Democratic campaign didn't focus on G. Gordon Liddy or the Keating Five Scandal? Not because there wasn't anything there...but because they correctly saw that most Americans wouldn't care about those things so much as what the canidate intended to accomplish and how they came across in demeanor. As for the racism discussion you are correct, I must have gotten my posters confused.

ghost - The reason the press didn't devote any time to the Keating Five Scandal is because, regarding McCain, there was nothing there and they knew it. The press brought the story to the People time and again over the years that no matter who investigated the scandal they found McCain had nothing to do with it.

Believing that the majority of Democratic voters weren't aware of these so-called issues is like me believing that all Republicans think Obama is a Muslim with terrorist sympathies. Though there were unfortunate segments on both sides to whom those beliefs could be applied to, they certainly did not represent the majority of Americans, both Democrat and Republican. No, I'm using the examples of McCain/Palin supporters waiting in line for said rallies and their responses to Obama supporters. Look it up, there are countless videos on YouTube concerning them. Meanwhile, I encourage you to find a similiar number of Obama supporters in similiar situations and you can judge the responses for yourself.
As for the birth certificate fiasco, it reeks of both racism and sour grapes. No one would be questioning this if he were fully White, or named John Smith.

I never claimed that ALL McCain/Palin supporters are racist, ignorant bigots, but the evidence is out there that a not-insignificant portion of them were just that, spurred on by their fearless leaders on talk radio.
And yes, there is definately a racist element involved in the birth certificate case. He has a birth certificate that has been verified as genuine by the state he claims to be born in, shouldn't that be enough? Again, if his name was John Smith, this would be a non-issue.
