I hope that you use it wisely, but with the suggestion that because an MP believes that Hicks - convicted of providing material support for our enemies - shouldn't be short listed on the Premier's literary awards somehow makes him an idiot, I don't have much faith you will.

@Griffinltd im not interested in him getting an award, but I wouldn't see any Australian (or any human being) left out by his country no matter how stupid what he did was. I trust you wouldn't let it happen to me and i wouldn't see you abandoned. The great thing about democracy is your faith in my vote doesn't matter.

But that's merely what the MP said - that Hicks shouldn't be shortlisted for a government award that could potentially give him $15,000 of taxpayer money. He made no mention of Hicks' treatment at Guantanamo Bay (which is what you're referring to I presume) I just fail to see how that makes him an idiot.
