Dat Nguyen gained his unusual size (unusual for a Vietnamese - he was about 5-11 and 220 while at A&M) because he spent a lot of time at his best friend's house as a kid, who happened to be white, and his friend's mother would feed them chicken casserole. Dat's siblings and parents are fairly typically-sized Vietnamese, so it's not as though he had tall genes in his family. So basically, diet is probably very important. If all you eat is rice and fish, you ain't gonna play football.

yenzhou, well maybe. Not sure if one of Dat Nguyen's great grandparents was unusually large, but his parents were small. His dad was only about 5'4", and his mom was under 5 feet. His brothers and sisters were similar in size to their parents. Dat was definitely an exception.

I think Asian men are small in size, weak in power, and lacks in speed. Only thing I strongly Asian men can have is will and hell of mentallity to practice. Overpractice would exhaust your will often, but physically we are unfit. So only choice is to practice hard once goal is set. Look at Kosta Tyzu, his arm lengh and shoulders weren't long or broad enough to fit to be a good boxer.
