This "Exhibit" is Part of the rape and pillage spoils of Tibet by Chinese Govt.; and an affront to all Tibetan Buddhists. In the basement of Potola (the building shown) are the tombs of most of the 13 Dalai Lamas before this Dalai Lama. Piles of jewels and golden items were there, now fakes replace SOME of those stolen.
Forests have been wiped out, gold mines cleaned out, minerals strip mined, animals hunted to near extinction. These "treasures" are not important in themselves(like stolen assets of the Jews in WW II), but as a very visible example of the incredible damage done to the Tibetan people's world. During occupation &cultural revolution, etc. over 6,000 monasteries and temples were pillaged, monks hung in rafters, then set afire....then, later even the ruins torn to the ground to hide the atrocities..
these artifacts are from these desecrated places. The Dalai Lama, or Tibetan peoples don't want them for their gold...they care little for that. They want their heritage back; and the flaunting of their near annihilation stopped. Is this too much to ask? Only if you want to hide the lie of Mao's evil assimilation plan to proceed.
FREE Tibet from Chinese Govt. Domination, and FREE the World from the same. BOYCOTT all CHINESE Goods until Tibet is Free. We can "speak" with our money too ;-)

Today Local Chinese Authorities Lie to the Regional Leaders, who Lie to Beijing, who then broadcasts those Lies to the rest of the World! The whole Communist Political System is Based on Lies and Hypocrisy. They have no Based for Trust in whole CCP System".
