If you want to mix live drums with programmed midi, do you think it's best to record the drums first then add the midi or the other way around- i.e play along to the programmed midi? Thanks...
Can you do this if the entire band has been recorded without clicktrack?i mean if you time the drums the rest of the band will still be out of time, how you fix that?
If they didn't record to a click track, you have to generate the bars/beats first. I know the first option in beat detective "Bar | Beat Marker Generation" does that but I still use Edit -> Identify Beat.
Are you extracting the beat from the main track for the groove template? Thanks!

Not only the kick + snare track is required, if you have a hihat track with 16th notes you can also use it.

@uniquestardust Of course! I like to keep a bit of the the drummer's natural feel, so that's why I don't bus everything (hats, toms, etc).

I seriously doubt you do considering you can barely speak proper English.

Just send the band back in the rehearsal room and tell them to come back when they can actually play their songs decently.
Technology won't help anybody play better in the real world...

Cool stuff. You guys work with HD, so you would use multi-track beat detective, right?
