bruce sings this far better than paul. at the time this was sung paul sounded very good. however if he had carried on then his constant drug abuse would have fucked his voice up, making him sound terrible. as it is he doesn't sound nearly as good these days. he has to strain his voice just to sing wrathchild.

just listen to bruce carry his voice with ease. he has a far superior vocal range. not to mention he has far greater stage presence than paul ever did.

I had the honor of seeing Iron Maiden "open up" for Judas Priest in 1982! They smoked 'Priest off the stage! God bless Clive Burr he was an outstanding drummer! Saw 'Maiden at Harpos Concert Theater in Detroit in 1981 the 1st time they toured in the USA also!

I love how bruce can just sustain those notes while walking around with that opera vibrato (which is what I always thought was cool and unique about bruce's voice) and it shows how much of a genious of a frontman that he is when he stops afterward and makes the crowd make noise while he catches his breath.

I was never too impressed with Di'anno. Him and Bruce had a similar vibrato, but bruce had better controll over his, he also has more range and vocal power. Di'anno, however, is the original singer, and so we must always remember, without him, bruce would've never found iron maiden. So though I prefer Bruce to Di'anno, they both deserve credit for being apart of the greatest metal band ever. UP THE IRONS!
