  • cool intro to how to play some changes

built off minor 7 chord harmony with dorian melody then down whole step repeat

    had fun with this

    try resolving to a F#maj13 to Bbm6 / F#maj13 to F7 no 5

  • lol

  • hell no this aint porno music! this is really dope man, great playing, its funky and soulful, and a great backing track, best one ive played to yet

  • so awesome dude! keep em' coming!

helped me a lot with my bass hehe

  • Hella good track, almost everyone note i use fits lol! These are some very nice chords!

  • Key would be appreciated...

  • I see it as playing between Bb Mixolydian and Ab Mixolydian. The bassline makes the chords Bb7sus > B7 > Ab7sus > Ab7. Very nice track by the way!

  • @fretjamdotcom Sorry, that should be Bb7 not B7!

  • Ab/Bb Bb7(9) Gb/Ab Ab7(9)

Listen how each tone in the upper structure leads down.....Nice voice leading and looking at this progression it's easy to see the hybrids.(Ab/Bb)

Way to get out there on the modal interchange with your solo/intro.

  • I appreciate you guys. This backing tracks are very helpful to the people like myself who are learning jazz by ourselves, not having a live teacher. Thumbs up!!!

  • I've been playing to this backing track and i must say that i love your jam and finesse!! I wanted to let everyone know that the chords comped by the piano player are: Fm7 > Bb7 > Ebm7 > Ab7. Just in case anyone was wondering. Play on brotha!! :)

  • @Ganktastic Thanks... but not quite I dont know the name of the chords... and its guitar playing those chords

  • @christez don't listen to this guy......he's halfway correct but what he wrote is not what you're hearing.

  • @Ganktastic get the heck outta here!

  • i like it.. what progression is it??

  • I can only improvise vocally, I don't understand the key changes on my piano. How do you know when to change key? Vocally I don't worry about that, i think I just do it naturally. Really cool track by the way.

  • i liked the simple chords progression. allowed to me work out licks really well, and i came up with some pretty cool ones.

  • porno music

    hahaha

    but nice

  • please send me the tabs for the small guitar lead at the beginning! I am trying to learn it by ear, but Jazz has always been my weak spot. I get lost after the notes reach the D string.

  • very nice and intelligent video! congrats

  • great backing dude....

    thx for uploading...

I can develop my improvisation using this awesome track...

  • this is awesome. thanks!

  • interesting can I use it to teach/?????

Besides all that... you got a great groove/tone/feel w. your solos. Give us some mo!

  • try F#maj / Eb minor scale and tell me if it works for you

  • @christez thx this scale works perfect!

  • plz tell me if this track helped yall

  • I started playing slow blues and eventually got a bit jazzy. There are a lot of great guys on youtube you can learn from

  • Wow, I dream to play like that. I've only been playin for about a year now, and all I played was metal, which is pretty freaking easy to play, but I really want to play like this. What do you recommend I start learning to be able to play kinda like that?

  • yup glad you do

  • i appreciate this track thanks
