  • who the hell want to go to the cafe college fag and this is a great computer im playin tf2 on it 60 fps

  • No better than the MSI and they failed to point out that the Lenovo only has 2 usb ports....I'll stick with my MSI wind for the time being until someone squeezes more grunt out of the netbooks.

  • How easy is it to upgrade the ram on your MSI? I am guessing if it had more than 2 usb ports I wouldn't call it a net book. How many things do you have to have plugged into a netbook via USB?

  • RAM is 5 minute job. Invoking overclocking is another 5, both dead easy jobs.

I have tons of stuff that plug into USBs so I like having 3 available.

  • Rather than state the fact that MSI wind has more USB ports/ battery, I would like to ask on what facts is your theory that it is "No better than the MSI wind" . Try this...

    Buy a netbook.

    Buy external cd/dvd/bluray drive.

    Then maybe added turbo cache.

    Overclocking.

    Extra hard drive.

    External Monitor.

Wait.... What? That sounds like a Desktop.

I hate Lenovo and their customer care. But comparing the MSI wind to the Lenovo s10 is like comparing Sandra Bullock to Megan Fox.

  • hmm i thought 3 cell suppose to last more than 2hrs... why didnt you get the 6cell? what is that benchmark the asian guy was talkin about?

  • Is this fan Loud?? can u upgrade or customize to 2gb memory?

  • Lenovo S10 has the easiest way to change the HDD or the RAM,just unscrew the back.

  • The fan can get a little loud when you are watching youtube videos or any videos in general; but only if you're in a quiet room. The fan also comes on if you're surfing the net, browsing at sites that require a lot of loading. If you get it, the fan will probably turn on and off repeatedly, which was very annoying, but with lenovo's BIOs change, it shouldn't be a problem.

  • yea i say fix your video fellas, its a 10"2 screen not 8.9" great review though as usual. and your right the lenovo s10 is standing out ontop in design and performance using the atom chip! its my last netbook.

  • hey !! the screen size is actually 10.2".i thought you two are the expert what a shame

  • I was going to give lenovo s10 the benefit of the doubt, until I saw this PAID REVIEW.

Go to lenovo and see what's include with the purchase of of their netbook. Here's what it says:

"Exclusive Bonus! Included with select Lenovo purchases is a 2-year subscription to Wired magazine (a $15 value)."

I wonder why they'd include Wired Magazine, because they pay WIRED Magazine to give them good reviews. Corporate Cannibals! You all should go to hell!

  • Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. They were a little too enthusiastic about this netbook. But from my research, I felt that the S10 is best suited for my needs. So I bought one anyway. And said yes to the free subscription.

  • they are right...great design netbook, 2 gig ram upgradable but the dam 3 cell really stops me from getting it...what were Lenovo thinking???

  • I've heard there is a 6-cell option...

  • OMG how bad it is !!

its an 10.2 " display and not an 8.9 -.-

    bad review..

  • You don't really sound that enthused for a 9 out of 10.. :\ and when you think about it, it's still no Air.. and nothing will be when you compare it to that.

  • This review is pathetic. None of the reasons they give has any substance. Everything they mention has been done by ASUS already, several months ago.

  • over which laptops would you qualify it if there were a listing?

    _Over a Mac?

  • Asus eee 1000ha is the truest netbook.

6 cell battery, 7 hours of life.

Reviewers are so disconnected from the users of these netbooks.

Netbooks are to SURF THE INTERNET, fuck powerfull crap. We want to surf the internet for cheap on a descent sized screen so we dont go blind. Netbooks are better compared to mobile phones than laptops. People just dont fucking get it.

  • So true... @ ReiKman

  • I'm not normally one to post negative things, but I'm with sweatfoot's "What a bad review!" comment.

One of the ASUS EEE PC models has a 6 cell battery that's good for over 4 hours and a 160gb HD.

Sad how these guys really want it to be a Mac. IMO the coolest of these are the SDD models with Linux. I use my 1000H for school and it has a HDD and XP. If it weren't for school, I'd saved some money and went with a SDD/Linux one. The ASUS SDD/XP I played with had painful lag for sometimes seconds.

  • What a bad review!

  • OMG !!!

Do us a favour and delete this vid!!!

You don't know, what you're talking about!!!

  • Dude, you are talking about SSD. The Lenovo S10 comes with HDD.

Acer, Asus, FSC, Gigabyte, HP, MSI, Samsung, Sony and a lot more companys have netbooks with a 160GB HDD in their portfolio and they are available right now.

  • this review is sh**

    sorry for that, but:

    1. it has a normal 160GB HDD which 8 of 10 Netbooks have nowadays

    2. its a frickinn 10.2" inch display

    3. the 3cell battery lasts for 3h40m

    4. the 6cell battery last for more than 5h

    4. do not compare the weight to a Mac Air. the Air is also more more more expensive. what a comparison

    5. why do you whine about almost everything and then give 9/10

    6. this review was disappointing!

  • What is this nonsense?

The Lenovo S10 does not have a 8.9" screen and it "only" has a 160GB hard disk. 160GB is standard!

  • Blah, blah, blah, mac, blah. What you want from the mac is the OSX. You could do without the hardware. :)

  • technotechie ::

Untrue for me at least. I use all OS on my computers. I have a preference towards OS/X, but I'd rather rely on apple hardware even if it was just for windows or linux.

I'm not saying it's that way for all mac users, just in my case. ; )

  • seems like you haven't seen a lot of the recent netbooks ;)

how can a netbook with a 2 hour battery life get a 9 out of 10? this is a mobile device.

  • battery hacks FTW

  • "you can hack it"

    lol

  • Hmm, I'm thinking about buying one of these. I'll need to look more into it first though.

  • too bad windows wil only support it till 2014 sicne its on windows xp. then after that u have to get vista for support. :S

  • actually by 2014 well have Windows 7 which is basically Vista just less crappy and more usable

  • if it had a solid state drive it would help battery life immensely. Check out the Eee PC 901. Much better option for a similar price on Amazon.
