  • I agree with this video; bad prices, bad service ! They cut off services - all internet, satellite and phone if you miss one month bill payment even if they charge 29.99% on the late payments.

They even handover control of your phone messages to telemarketers eg. you checking message and it dials a number and take you to a anonymous caller ! Fu*k you a**holes.

  • unbelievable some peoples ignorance... all big companys have issues and cannot meet every customers indivitual situations.. if you go to other telephine service providers you will find out that although not perfect bell is still much better than the others.. they were even better pre compatition. but you people wanted compatition even thought warned it would not improve things.. just look at the telephone mess in the USA...

  • Here is a recent message left on my answering machine from a Bell Canada Representative.

I am so pissed at Bell and hopefully can take further action for being called pathetic by him.

    Bell Canada sucks.

Search YouTube for "Rude Bell Canada Representative" to watch my video.

  • took more than a week to ask they reactivate our internet because they made a mistake to cancel our internet services... just cancel all the services from Bell.. internet.. phone..tv..

fucking you, bell.. you are fucking shit in Canada..

  • Bell is both evil and incompetent.

  • Bell SUCKS. I have been with them 3 months for my cell and internet. The internet is pathetic. It goes out about 3 times a day. My cell phone bills have never been higher. My first three bills with them should have been 55 a month but turned out to be over 250$ per month. They even charged me for 85 minutes to their customer service which kept transferring me through departments . They were throttling my internet. Dropping my downloads and injecting corrupt packets so they did not work.

  • The 6 dislikes belong to normal bell agents who are tired of explaining to retarded customers what 2 + 2 is.

  • Boycott...a company...that has so much money that the CRTC has to tell them how low they can set their prices so that theres room for competition.....boycott a company that then chooses to give out what the CRTC can't regulate, charity, credits, 24 hour tech support....millions of dollars every year in charity alone....a company that allows smaller companys to use bells lines so that the smaller companys can afford to sell satellite....get real you idiots. Bell is the best, your all morons.

  • Trust me Telus is much worse. I was over-charged $400 for 3 consecutive months on my cell bill. I kept telling them they were overcharging me and they kept insisting that the billing was correct. I got the woman who was canceling my account, after the 3rd month of this, to finaly see I was right and after they fixed their mistake I still cancelled. I have felt like a much more valued client since I switched to Bell and my billing has never been more acurate. Their internet is much faster too.

  • BELL = WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE....and for service well satellite sucks internet sucks also but bell fibe tv aint that bad but still when u need service home they charge you for evrything not like videotron that charges 40 bucks to get job done whatever has to be done

  • fuck you guys, Bell fucking rocks!

  • @PorchMonkie12 you must be the paki that answers their phones for 40 cents an hour, and asks you to turn your device off then back on again

  • The three dislikes belonged to Bell executives.

  • Stream watcher , internet cost me 60 per mount plus 60 cause i download too much , bell sucks where the fuck is the unlimited provider... fuck you bell

  • @WSCybertraders ''i will never return to that sht service ever again, even if there were no other providers,.i'd rather use smoke signals.'' lolll !!! epic comment

  • I had bell mobile, internet and tv, they suck shit. I got rid of the phone, went with wind, I got rid of the internet, got Yak and just getting rid of the tv, next will be Netflix! the customer service sucks, half the people don't speak english, cannot be understood, the put hidden fees on your bills, they cancel your services, without you doing it and charge you $400, then it takes a month or so to get it all fixed up! bell canada you suck shit! Cancelling all 3 services was the best thing ever

  • i ben with bell for 4 years and there the best for me internet, phone, cable, cell phone, i call'd them 1 for a repair because i broke my phone line and they fix'd it 4 free

  • i am so tired of bell, please tell me what to do to get away from bell an whats an alternative, everytime i deal with them i feel like killing someone. they make everything so fucking hard

  • Hi, I use to work for Bell Canada in a Indian Call center. I had to say it was the worse place to work. We were stuffed into small chicken pens. And they didnt even provided enough training. forced to start working with half knowhow of bell. On top of that the infrastructure was so bad that half the computers didnt work. It was a stressfull job.Never i will ever work for Callcenter or Bell. What made it worse is that they only payed us $200/month. Bell is totally taking advantage of poor people.

  • They do everything perfect to deliver the worst service possible here is their trick:

    1. The trap :

flashy phones , misleading advertisements , tricky contracts .

    2. Once you sign the contract the real beating starts

Forget about all what you have read in big characters ,what matters is the fine print that can be read using a microscope and also the complicated terms used in the long contract.

I will never go back to bell and will only recommend it to my worst enemy .

  • I dumped Bell a month ago. I canceled phone, internet and TV. I am with Teksavvy internet (300GB cap), a voip phone which cost me about $6 a month (call display included, voice mail included) and Netflix. I got enough of Bell and its monopole!!!

  • They cancelled my TV, internet, phone services without my consent. and told me they could reconnect me in a week. How am i going to live in my home without TV, internet, or a phone line? So in desperate need, I switched to a provider that could install the very next day. I then was charged a cancellation fee (although I never cancelled). by Bell and 2 more months of services that I did not use. I've spent countless of hours on the phone with unpleasant representatives. I never asked for this!!!!

  • Dumped Bell one week ago...I am Bell free. Went with Cogeco for landline, cable and pc.

    Saving about $70 per month.

  • visit: BelljunkMailPollution

We need your help to bring down the volume of junk mail and by doing so, help the environment. Benefits will be a cleaner air and a healthier environment for us all.

  • i would give ANYTHING to meet the ceo of bell in a dark ally,, I WOULD FUCK HIM UP PROPER!!!! I FUCKING HATE BELL!!!!

  • Everything was well with Bell until since July 2010. My ping to servers that gave me between 5-30ms were now giving me between 50-70. The connection quality only seemed to get progressively worse. In March of this year, I switched the modem off for a quick router test and it has never been the same. I have had to reset their outdated junk modem every 5 minutes due to spontaneous dropouts and since then our bandwidth has dropped. Customer support did only but quick fixes which didn't help much.

  • I am bell free!

  • I hope they go bankrupt, they are a freaking dinosaur

  • As a Bell customer, for 6+ years, I have never once received a rate increase. Anyone that feels that they're getting screwed by the company doesn't know how to screw the company themselves, which is sad. A boycott, in my area at least, would just change the hand to which the money goes. A real solution would be publicly funded internet, but that would never happen in a million years.

  • they have no service at all, only try to suck any single penny out of consumers

  • I received a $3000 phone bill because my Blackberry turned roaming on while in my luggage. I happened to pull it out and notice my phone was on, so I simply turned it off. Let me say I was shocked (to say the least) when I got my bill. They charged me 3 grand for 9 hours of roaming (inside my luggage nonetheless). I fought for months. I can't express how stressful it was to deal with Bell. They are horrible and EVIL.

I paid $500 to cancel my contract and currently have no cell phone.

  • Bell has over charged me for long enough. I tried to cancel due to poor service and they tried to charge me for 30 days more. I have cancelled everything bell (no bell internet, cell, or landline). I now have 2times the internet speed, and voip with unlimited long distance for a fraction of the cost bell charged me before. I have a happy bell free home now! :-)

  • I already decided to boycott them when the UBB bill was announced. After my contract it's all VOIP for me.

  • I can see dialing into servers coming back into style....it costs nuthing and allows unlimited sharing and in a sense unlimited internet.... yes it's slower.... but Bell and rogers won't make a cent. Whats the point of fast internet if it's gonna cost us our first born.

    CRTC = Nazi

Bell & CRTC = Nazi bed buddies

  • The internet UBB is juts a symptom of a much larger problem... and just a taste of what this corruption has in store for us in the coming future.

Sometimes we have to go with out for awhile to ensure a better future. Now is as good as anytime to start.

  • I use a Fido cell phone so Bell and Rogers don't own me... if I have to go with out internet in my home then I guess that is the price I pay to keep my dignity and my money. I suggest to other Canadians maybe it's time we spent more time off line and in the real world cleaning up the mess the rich have created with their greed. Once we get these corrupt government systems fixed we can enjoy the internet once again.

  • @Bizziboy Fido is a subsidiary of Rogers... so Rogers does "own" you.

  • @plaidcrusader yeah I figured that out awhile ago after posting that. I am now with Virgin mobile.

    :)

  • @Bizziboy so Bell owns you?

  • @hypershrimp No it's pre-paid... so I get emails begging me to give them more money. It's actually kind of annoying...and thanks to Magic Jack.. I keep it empty and off most the time.... lol..... just when I think I may need it. Believe it or not... it's just like you own the phone... which we both know I don't. I am just using it till it's crappy design and shotty craftsmenship breaks down and I am forced to buy a new one.....

  • @hypershrimp Virgin mob is in partnership. In other words Virgin supplies the name and customer base and bell leaches off them. So no not really...

  • It's funny I have been online before there was internet back when we had to dial into other peoples servers. if this UBB goes threw I will be canceling internet. There is tons of places to use it for free. Yes the internet is great... but sadly I was not aware how dependent I have become on it. I am not gonna pay out the ass for something I don't really need. I don't watch tv anyways never have...

So I will rejoin the real world and leave the internet behind. Something better is coming anyways.

  • Boycott Bell? The only way to do that is to leave Canada. They own everything. Unless you give up the internet and telephone entirely you're just routing your money through a middleman back into Bell's pocket. That's exactly why they don't care, they own you.

  • @gpooj That's not entirely true, Bell and Rogers own Canada and you. But of course it depends if you can even get Rogers in your area. We simply don't have the competition that the US has and therefor GOUGE O' RAMMA.

  • as we all knew average Canadian doesn't have high iq or in other words have balls to stand up against it many Canadian will agree with this this is another example why im not proud to be an Canadian Egyptian are the people are brave and far more smart then average Canadian now we are getting a chance to stop this bell bullshit and Canadian dont give a flying fuck

  • Wow, I'm so glad we have SaskTel here and not Bell. I've never been anything but happy with my SaskTel internet service.

    Once again, Tommy Douglas FTW!

  • Harper has already said he will look into this before March 1st and possibly overturn the CRTC's position. It's time to email your MP and Harper and demand that UBB be stopped.

  • Go to OPENMEDIA.CA and fight, it's a no brainer. Stop complaining in media that isn't viewed by the CRTC. Get in the faces of the decission makers with the Openmedia petition and let them know what you really think. We all want to send a message to people in control of our media and now we have a forum that's going to get to the people who make the decissions.

  • I've stopped using Bhell for everything with the exception of a cottage line which I have no control over. However, the minute I have a choice, that will go too! Enough can't be said for the lack of competition in this country. The big telecom's are attempting to be the puppet master of the CRTC and so far.....it's working! Stop the madness and got to Openmedia.ca to fight back by signing their petition. They're looking for a million signatures & are 1/2 way there. R u angry 2? Do something!!

  • I agree. After all bell and rogers started this and are pushing this.

They are charging $5 to $2 per gig extra when it costs less then 2 cents and they are shrinking my 90 gig cap to 25gig. How is that fare. Further more there services are exempt from this ruling. How is that fare all .

  • Problem is lot a talk but and then what...? Like the 'exodus' term, see Egypt, this is the way to deal with the thieves!

  • Make sure you sign the big partition online.

  • Over priced gasoline overpriced beer, overpriced internet....we are going to get sick and tired and take too the streets ....mark my words!

We need a real democracy, not these crooks.

The CRTC is the real enemy.

  • @MrBenotdismayed I couldn't agree more with you. I think we're all getting sick and tired of being screwed with high gas prices, unreal food prices, tax hikes, and internet price gouging. We will have to eventually take to the streets for sure. It's getting that only the most rich can drive, eat, have internet or anything that's a luxury. Enough already! First we should ban Bell and companies of the like and then move on forward with each other problem and make it clear that we're not taking it.

  • they are trying to get the freedom away, but not if they have no customers, it's time to give bell a lesson by canceling your accounts....please

  • With that said, Canada has one of the highest rate of broadband to the home and some of slowest throughput of the industrialized world. We also pay more for our throughput than others. I want fiber to my door now just like they have in many Japanese cities. Don't tell me I can get faster rates if I pay more. You've kept me at this speed since I've signed-on and I'm still paying the same amount and the global marketplace keep getting faster and spending less.

  • Fortunately (maybe) they are going to take another look at the decision. Here is my contribution to the mix.. Did you know that Hell Canada has a 42% late payment penalty? I canceled one of my lines right away upon discovering this. An outrage!!

Please watch my animation. And lets start calling it what it really is "HELL CANADA"

  • YES EH! WE ARE ABOOT FED UP WITH BELL CANADA EH!!! HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO WATCH CURLING AND JUSTIN BIEBER WITH ONLY 25 GB A MONTH EH!!!?? THIS IS ABOOT FREEDOM!!!

  • How about we lynch everyone at the CRTC? And also rape some of them, too.

  • I may be British, but looking at what Bell charges now for a crapy 2GB a month plan is shocking. I go though tons of GB a day, and not even their top plan could sustain me for a very long. I pay like £20 a month for unlimited downloads and calls, thats close to the price of Bells lowest plan. Bell needs to die.

  • To all those who support this you are kidding yourselves. If you think the average "low" usage customer wont go over you are kidding yourself. The average website is getting larger every day, watching a youtube video still uses a lot of bandwidth, just casually surfing will have you paying $2-$3 dollars extra a month. Gamers and NetFlix users are screwed, Shaw is a horrible company. They are mad that a competitor (NetFlix) is stealing from their Shaw On Demand .

  • Before the rest of you panic about TekSavvy or other ISPs being forced into UBB, the government has posted a recent statement (Mister Clement specifically), speaking strongly out against it in its current form. It is not going forward, meaning that by speaking up through avenues like Openmedia and Stopthemeter, Canadians have won this round. Carry a boycott and "win the war", to use a horribly cliqued phrase. I support this measure. Use TekSavvy or Primus, or any alternative at all.

  • Alexander would be rolling in his grave.

  • Bell is fuckin shit, they always have been. Cogeco is kinda crappy too but it's a fuck of a lot better than Bell.

  • Man, I wish I could watch this video, but I live in Canada.

  • bells been overcharging our phone for a few months now, we finally were fed up and bitched them out, so in exchange for my family's loyal service we get free internet and long distance for a year, they still piss me off, but after this year, i'm telling my mom to switch

  • Bell is terrible

  • Bell owns over 80% of the infrastructure in Canada, an infrastructure payed for by tax payers and then privatized. Even if you don't get your services directly from Bell, you're still getting your services from Bell, and you're supporting them. The only way to not support Bell is to either spend billions laying your own infrastructure, or to get rid of your internet entirely.

  • @GetOutOfHereCreeper.. I wouldnt say 80% of the infrastructure. where are you getting your facts from? But they do own the majority of the infrastructure.

  • You would expect this kind of shit from Bell. What amazes me is that the CRTC took their entire proposed increases and just approved it.

  • Let bell burn in the hell.

  • Currently locked into a Bell contract :( Is my only option to wait until it's up?

  • @lyrestonehart Don't even pay your bill! Fuck 'em! As if they'll take you to court. I've dealt with them before and think if you support them your a FU*#ing idiot!

  • @wantelectronicmail Beg pardon. I don't WANT to support Bell. That's why I asked. Please don't swear at me.

  • The weakest about this is that they claim to need the money TO MAINTAIN THE NETWORK.

So the government is laying down rules, in benefit of the provider. correct me if i am wrong.

The question is who invested in the network? Canada or the provider? This just looks like a scam to keep competition out and prices soring high all in what seems a whirlpool of corruption.

  • Sign the petition: w.w.w. stopthemeter. ca

and heres what you can do to help:

    (w.w.w)antiubb.com/what-can-i-do

And most importantly donèt let this bully you into switching back to bell or rogers, because then your just helping them rip you and other canadians off.

  • It has nothing to do with "competition" and "freedom" and "customer service" and Bell Canada.

    It's lobbyism.

Think about it: what politician would move to pass a bill that was so hated that it would ensure that they would never be elected by their constituents, ever again... unless they were getting paid?

There is absolutely NO WAY... "someone" is not getting paid, here. Go to the gov't of Canada site on lobbyism. A two year-old with a pea shooter could worm his way through that document.

  • I WAS GOING TO SWITCH IN ONE WEEK AND THIS HAPPENS WOW

  • @Enlight3nd it is still better to switch...costs less than bell. I would suggest signing up for for an independant company like tevsavvy, which actually cares about internet freedom. I switched a month ago and the service is great. And to stop Usage Based Billing talk to your mpp or sign petitions. Liberals and NDP have already taken the anti-UBB side, so send an email to harper to let him know what you think about UBB and how big this issue is for the next election

  • I totally agree and have dumped Bell for all services. The only problem is that with a duopoly in Canada the alternative (Rogers) is no better. And I'm finding that out the hard way. To bad the big corporations are so far up the government's ass that when they sneeze we get the cold.

  • I use Acanac for internet and plan on getting rid of my last Bell canada service, Home phone will either go to Acanac VOIP or it will be majic jack. bye Bye BELL

    Mark

  • the fact crtc mentioned. they will charge for the internet means they are pushing like hell for it.so Canada when is enough,enough...i am taxed to the tits on everything . food gas everything goes up,,but my wage, the roads are falling apart because we are slaves to the global bankers. now they want to tax knowledge and freedom of speech..this is only the start next they will outright censor speech which they have started to do...so sit or fight

  • @yappertrap

100 percent with you man. Lets show F... g BELL a middle finger!

  • It is kind of difficult to boycott a service that almost every other service uses for their service and pays your money to.

  • CUNTS

  • I have the number for one of Bell's executive offices. I will be calling that dude when I get the time, because the last time I called he was much more effective in resolving my issues than the customer service ever was after countless hours on the phone with them.

  • Since we all need to use the internet, what would people suggest as viable alternatives to Bell Sympatico? Don't other DSL providers just lease lines from Bell anyway? Using them would just be indirectly supporting Bell.

  • EVERYONE: Switch to TekSavvy to show Bell we will not tolerate this crap. Guess what, with a 25 GB cap limit and an 80 GB insurance block, the price would still be less than for what Bell charges for a 100 GB monthly limit!

Fuck you, Bell. Fuck you straight in the ass... without lubrication!

  • @MuhammadVonRaven i have teksaavy and i just go an emal from unlimited gb to 25 gb fuck bell ad the govern ment this is bullshit.

  • Already boycotting BELL!! George Cope BCE's CEO better take notice of the building public outrage, it's just a matter of time before a full scale war between Bell, the consumer and the CRTC comes to fruition.

  • netneutralitycanada.ca

  • Check out netneutralitycanada.ca

  • Boycott Bell! Stay away from their greedy hands.

  • I switched to teksavvy for internet and phone a few years ago and have been very happy. I also switched to star choice for satellite and was very happy with them back when I used to watch tv

  • @MrL0rn3 goodluck teksavvy uses bell's lines/bandwidth so if bell is going through with ubb so is teksavvy

  • @MrL0rn3 I'm also with teksavvy and just got an email from them saying I just went from unlimited down to 25gb/month. (Effective March 1 2011)

I feel a great urge to inflict damage.

  • @KMA645 holy crap, thats SOO LOW. i'd be pissed as balls if i were you. 25gbs is nothing.

  • @KMA645 SAME OMG I JUST FUCKING CALLED THEM IM WITH TEKSAVY TO AND EXACT SAME PLAN AS U WTF UNLIMITED TO 25GB IMA GO FUCKING KILL THE ILLUMINATI GOVERNMENT OMG!!! no more fucking yhoutube for me im a go fucking murder someone for real fuck this shit.

  • @KMA645 give in to the urge..feels good man

  • @KMA645 as of March 1st techsavvy is going to go from an awesome isp to the worst, save techsavvy by signing up openmedia(dot)ca/meter

  • @MrL0rn3 chgeck u email i just got a letter today from teksaavy about the 25 gb limit its fuckng bullshit

  • I agree!! Bell certainly has hidden prices in there somewhere!! They are TOTAL rip-off artists!

  • I think we've all had terribly frustrating conversations with Emily followed by a less than helpful (cunty) customer service representative. I went nearly a month without phone, internet, and television once. The main problem was that my buzzer system worked via the phone line so I couldn't let people into my apartment without going down four flights of stairs. Bell repeatedly dismissed my complaints, and had the nerve to charge me for usage of those services I didn't receive that month.

  • i've been boycotting them since the first month they implemented usage based billing, which is all a scam with their partners Rogers to nickle and dime Canadians for every cent we got. I've also been boycotting rogers ever since they've implemented throttling.

  • I agree 100% This is just what Canada needs to do. I cancelled a bell unlimited internet account about a year ago because of regular price increases. Customer service was a nightmare. The final straw was a $1.95 modem rental increase.I had already payed for that modem multiple times over. I switched to a wholesale internet provider and now have almost twice the speed at half the cost until UBB starts .Screw you Bhell !

  • @csc45 Bell needs to take a serious hit with an exodus of customers. At the end of the day I think this is the only thing they will understand.

  • Bell and the CRTC can kiss my ass, down with the Communist bastards that is bell. I used bell internet about 4 years ago and switch because of their cap limit and more importantly their stupid billing department. I was double charged 3 months in a row, and every time I called to get it fixed the morons would just tell me that they would credit me for the next month.

That happened 3 months in a row, how stupid are the people that work in billing at bell that they can't fix a simple problem.

  • @mpavao811 It's not communist, communism would mean free internet. It's democratic totalitarianism. A term which everyone on here and in the rest of North America should get acquainted with.

  • @deadeyeselh Take the word "democratic" out of that, and your bang on. There are no democracies on this planet. Never has been, never will be. Besides which, its kind of a stupid idea. Its just tyranny of the majority. Oh, sorry, after the first sentence I'm just ranting. :)

  • @herpiethelovebug I agree. Capitalism and democracy are two very different things.

  • @csc45 The exact same reason why I cancelled Bell internet access also. If they don't get you one way they'll get you another and raising modem rental prices is about the most pathetic excuse they had come up with yet. Everyone should boycott and ban Bell services. They are dishonest, scheming, and always looking for ways to screw over their customers and others as well that are getting better deals elsewhere. They're not even honest with verbal agreements. Ban, Ban, Ban Bell people.

  • @Brenniman65

I totally agree. The worst thing (among many others) is they are grossly dishonnest. I wish they go away from Canada. Bye Bell ! And never come back please. I could write a 500 condensed pages on all the problems I had with them. Just unbelievable thieves.

  • @csc45 I am with you on that...I called customer service to find out what this "new" extra cost was on my phone/internet bill..they said I had gone over my usage??? I told them that Rogers had been courting me for years wanting my business, but since my "3" phone lines had been with Bell for over 30yrs..I felt an obligation to stay with them as a "Loyal" customer..the customer service rep told me.."GO TO ROGERS THEN, I DON'T CARE"...so I did...they have been begging me TO RETURN! HAHAHA

  • I apologize for the choppy audio guys. I was so angry I couldn't edit straight.
