  • its only single core -_-

  • so can you overclock this to 12.0ghz or something now

  • @aaronleev

    World Record, Fastest CPU: 8.4GHz.

  • Actually you could do this with a copper liquid cooling system you just have to replace the tubing and connectors with copper but i am not so sure it would be covered by warranty when you start cracking the components on the board cpu hd's bridges etc..... and if you spill it on ya yer kinda screwed :p

  • lol 1.888v

Thats what i'm talking about right there f@#k them VR's and chokes !!!!!

  • Wow. You have very nice hands.

  • Now to fit it into a case!

  • Now wait until the nitrogen evaporates.

  • so today you could get like 50 GHZ using same setup with an i7 i guess. wish i had $2,000 to try it out.

  • @upbeatanime Current record is something like 8.6ghz using a AMD Bulldozer based CPU on liquid Nitro

  • @ganymedeIV4 wait, my cpu is a quad @ 3.0 ghz, i thought that meant 12ghz total.

  • @upbeatanime no quad @ 3.0 is not 12ghz its just 4 cores @ 3.0ghz

  • @TriforceBiH u sure? weird way to tell you, they should clarify that.

  • @upbeatanime it does but you go by the speed at which all the cores are running. not the speed of them combined.

  • @DarkEmoE i don't get what you mean, if they all run at so many calculations then you would combine them, do you mean the number is already the cores combined?

  • @upbeatanime the number is the maximum speed for each core. if you overclock you increase it. but that speed is not combined. each core can reach that speed

  • I don't think it was necessary to do all of this, especially since there is NO WAY for it go get that hot even if it was overclocked with a water cooling system. Takes up WAY too much space in the tower too, especially for that size of a heat sink..

  • song??

  • If you did this to a AMD phenon 955 Black edition quadcore 3.2Ghz what would you get?

  • He must get the fastest porn processing on the net.

  • music name please !...

  • I used to have a hot girlfriend

    then I bought this

    now she's cool

  • But will it blend?

  • do that with a intel 17 990x ull prob be able to to get 7 ghz

  • WOW imagine doing that to an i7-2600K... 6Ghz FTW!

  • To everyone calling him a retard and saying this is stupid... this isn't even HIS video it is a Tom's Hardware video.

@13ip0lar The reason they take it down so far is that it is more efficient at lower temperatures so overclockers will do so to squeeze out extra performance marks.

@Coporatism These systems are designed only for record beating and on-desk tinkering. They won't due unless heavily overvolted which some overclocking doesn't always require a huge increase.

  • hm .. that aint cheap:p

  • Put that shit on an Intel i7 990x @ 20GHz!

The temp would be...hm... 35 degreeds celcius stable?

  • Anyone notice the copyright is 2003? This is such overkill for a PC that couldn't even fry an egg if it overheats. So stupid...

  • @13ip0lar umm have u ever seen how hot a CPU can get? even in my electronics class in highschool each student touched a CPU that was the most 300 mhz way way way old and it gets hot enough to burn u pretty good without a heatsink

  • Uu are crazy

  • Moore's Law states that all of this is pointless if you just wait 18 months! lol

  • Nuff said........ YOU're retarded!

  • AND when the liquid nitro stops working, which it WILL, and you are overclocking: GOODBYE PC!

  • Very nice. But will it blend?

  • @MisterBifflel LOL I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING HOLD ME TIGHT WHILE WE FLY INTO THE SKY MADE OF DREAMS ON OUR 5GHZ MACHINE YEAAAAA!

    DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS

  • now your computer will really freeze up XD

  • Fail

  • ottima soluzione :D

  • I want to see this with sandybridge

  • @willepille123 I doubt anyone would want to risk that...

  • u watch to much porn give a break to ur old p4 xD

  • I love fucking around with liquid nitrogen freezing sulfuric acid it was only 1 moler but still fun times

  • Will the CPU be re-useable after this?

  • @mynameisjamesj not if you forget to change the overclock

  • Because your computer will never be cool enough

  • haha nice but not a lot of us have liquid nitrogen :/

  • Was ist das musik?

  • press 1 for tube masturbation xD

  • loooll :o

  • I guess you don't need those stupid always-getting-dirty fans anymore. Great job!

  • now put that bitch in a case :D

  • lol @applying thermal paste... epic

  • LOL! this is awesome

  • 1:40 SO..Close to 200..

  • all of this for a pentium 4....

  • @ghenmokai This was made in 2008...

  • @penny2g3 still...

  • Comment removed

  • @ghenmokai

Well, I think he used Pentium 4 is just for experiment. If succeed, there will be 980X

  • @ghenmokai 5 GHz back in 2008 was the shit (:

  • @InverseBlue You mean 2003.

  • @samusmaster64 look at the date on the vid "May 28, 2008"

  • @InverseBlue Watch the entire video.

  • @samusmaster64 i did...and..?

  • @ghenmokai Well yea, this was made in the Pentium 4 days.

  • what happens if it rains though?

  • lol overkill much

  • with that much thermal paste it probably overflowed into the socket, good luck running your computer

  • thumbs up if skrillex sent ya

  • wats tha song called???

  • ofc i get a pc with a sound of a plane rageing noises in my head -.-'

  • nice vid, it looks like your making crack :P

  • need to build a case that looks like the Back to the future car and the nitrogen goes in the mr fusion...

  • What is the point of liquid nitrogen cooling and all this fancy impractical equipment if you are going to set the thermal paste wrong. Way too much paste and lazy application.

Might as well surround the CPU in a thermal blanket and douse the blanket in liquid nitrogen.

  • @pratt123 well seeing as it broke a world record at the time and he got the CPU heatsink temp to -196 degrees celcius.. whats the problem? I think most people would consider he did pretty well given the circumstances..

  • @jgorerowe No problem. Just very ironic. What is the point of using liquid nitrogen as a overkill for cooling if you are not even going to take the basic steps of proper thermal paste application. That's like knocking down your front door to get in your house without even trying the doorknob.

  • @pratt123 your a dumb nerd lmao

  • Dry ice much?

  • @Genesisx111 No, it's called Liquid Nitrogen

  • had anyone here attempted 2 rape the sandy bridge with liquid cooling haha

  • @szewei85 Liquid cooling is fairly common. Liquid nitrogen cooling is extreme.

  • you did not put thermal paste correctly .

  • That's crazy, well done. Haven't intel taken a core i7 to about 7GHz doing this?

  • @Johny40Se7en Yes. /watch?v=b0X9LSLDM6E at 3:17.

  • @Johny40Se7en maby, but i believe the current record is actualy an amd precessor running at somewhere around 8ghz N2 cooled

  • thats stupid....

    USE LIQUID HELIUM

  • doesnt the cpu/gpu have a minimum temperature?

  • lol holy shit and what can this computer do that mine cant? what makes it so special???????

  • @1992photographer That This is a 2007 model of a pc

  • but will it blend?

  • -321F?!?! Damn.

Im running @ 60C idle. I need to get some liquid nitrogen.

  • i honestly think the computer just nutted on it self!!!!!!!!!!!,extremely great concept but to be honest u have to much time on your hands to be doing this but i love the video

  • Heeh, mad scientist.

  • Frozen CPU

  • crazy :)

  • cool song

  • @leaualorin dude in about 10-15 years we have holograms

  • @leaualorin a chip in your body i think

  • this is so heavenly.

  • no more RROD!

  • u should use liquid helium!!

thumb me up im the 339th viewer

" Silent quote - smiles when pouring nitrogen- "

its od that there are more likes than views

Chuck norris can only go past that !

In soviet russia nitrogen overclocks you"

  • brrrr cold!!!!

  • It actually lasts for about 90 seconds....

  • still in minus figured temps even past 5ghz OC, lol u cud blates OC it to like 16ghz + lol

  • lol my E7400 is still faster at 2,8 Ghz

  • @interpird350 hey its from 2008 lol

  • well... but.... can it run crysis?!?!

  • @bigfroggy3000 1 or 2?! :)

  • @bigfroggy3000 cheap computers can run crysis now a days...

  • @bigfroggy3000 no, the question is: Will it BLEND?

  • @bigfroggy3000 its not can it run Crysis its can it run Minecraft O.o(Dramatic music)

  • how often do you have to refill the liquid nirogen

  • what program is that where you looked at your intel cpu stats?

  • Program is called a CPU-Z

  • You should have run SuperPI.

  • booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!!!

  • ive never understood the point of over clocking

    can someone explain?

or is it simply to game with :)

  • @a2dds lol its done so that the cpu can process data more efficiently and much faster. Overclocking means that when you increase the speed of the cpu. For example factory cpu speed is like about 2.3Ghz and u can overclock it to like 4.2Ghz which makes the computer work faster since it cooler.

  • @a2dds Yeah, it could be for what @ComputerKing240 said i agree with him. but some people can do this for bragging rights and such, its almost like a game in a way of who has the faster computer lol

  • Hm, Microsoft should have thought of this when they made the Xbox 360. It'll be near impossible to Red Ring Of Death. :-) maybe next time <:-)

  • @promercher10 you will not get red ring of death by over heating your xbox, its a malfunction that many xbox's have and is very easy to fix. :)

  • Some of your guys fail.. try a new experiment on the "intel core i9 processor" in this way it can handle up to about 14 GHz.!

  • @NexusPvESTALKER Intel core i9 is Intel i7-980X

  • @promercher10 no.. i9 isen't out there yet lol..

  • good for overclocking

  • nice lol

  • maybe 6Ghz next time ? :P

  • this video made me go FTW

  • wow that would be perfect for my xbox

  • @zekeasaurus11 lol hell yeah no more rrod

  • dont u think this is a little to much?

  • @coolhand2323mods You can never cool a computer too much.

  • oh hey bro can i use your computer

    nope

    why not?

oh, im out of liquid nitrogen

    OHHHH that makes perfect sence

  • I can say you tricked us out a little here... what matters is the core temperature...

Most CPUs won't work at such low temperatures... in fact.... if I'm not wrong the beneficial temperature is from around 20 C to 80 - 90 C then no good...

The lower heatsink temp makes the heat transfer more intense, but what matters is the core temp...

So what is the core temp???

  • Why use a cheap thermal paste! that computer and cpu is too cheap

  • where u get those liquid nitrogen?

  • why such a shitty amd board for LN2 testing?

  • @origamiartist2 loooooooooooooooooool....

  • Cool but pointless

  • XD do u evan need thermal compound on that.

  • Forget to refill it and poof, your computer catches fire!! XD

  • Try it with a newer CPU that doesn't generate as much heat as the P4 like an AMD Phenom!

  • this why i hate spending thousands of dollars on i7 core pcs when i can

actually do this and save money and still have the fastest computer in the world

i think this is one of the secrets the business men won't tell.Awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • why are you cooling it , i though electrons liked heat ???

  • @rien515 no... the cpu would get too hot and melt.

  • u could simply throw the processor into the nitrogen container lol

  • badass

    btw whats that technosong called?

  • damnnnnn. i wonder how much would you be able to overlock an i7 to

  • rich person house?

  • How much did all of that cost and how long will that reservoir last you?

  • ROFELL!

  • Send this PC at Mount Everest.........

  • Were do you get The: Liquid Nitrogen????? #LOL

  • @ultragaming1993

    in the air ;)

  • #sick bus speed 1237mhz

  • il risque pas de réchaufer avec sa XD

  • why would you do that to the flower? it's just wrong to do a sub zero finishing to a flower.

  • what was ur highest oc ? :D

  • krass man!

  • what i want to know is if your willing to go to this extreme why not get liquid hydrogen? its much closer to absolute zero than any of liquid gas...

  • @blargypaston Might explode lol, plus much harder to get

  • Oh sorry i see its frmo 2008 WOAOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

The problem with this Superconductivity system is the material wich will hold less, because if i am correct it ceramic and silicum based...

    I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!

  • woaow, well ter are already made 10 ghz proyetcs in the MIT, but they didnt use the conventional cpu cores ...

    I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats just awsome. I watched it again :D how much did that cost you. Proberly like atleast 3-4K

  • thats never going to get hot

  • lol old processor faster than the newest ones with liquid nitrogen!

  • your such a twat

  • meh.. i've seen colder..
