the 80's called, they want their hair back.. unless you're going for 'totally immersed artist who doesn't care what people think about his hair', in which case, i admire you
Y Dima, yesli vi Russki y ne govoritye po angleeski, tak y chto ya mogu ponimat vash volosi. Wonderful playing in any case
i saw a similar comment on a different upload of this video...very daring of him to play like this at a competition. and i've always taken argerich's side.
At the ending it was like he's playing with a hammer,he destroyed the piano...very similar to Hammerklavier sonata Fugue played by Valentina Lisitza, but the string fortunately didn't break. The best interpretation of this very emotional and pesonal piece.
this is the best interpretation i've ever heard!!! ivo is my favorite chopin's interpreter as kempff for beethoven. Chopin itself would be proud of it.
Chopin and ivo FTW!!!! geez i'm exited this piece have so much passion!!!
Check this video out and you will see and equally amazing performance from Pollini at 18: (Pollini)Chopin Prelude No. 24- Fragment I overall enjoy Ivo's interpretation better. Much more passionate and thrilling.
He does the thirds a tad bit faster but even clearer.

the storm I can see in his interpretation, he kills the piano, I agree, but it should be killed
