The pianist looks like he is having sooooo much fun here. I just love it. For me, his huge stage presence just adds to the sort of sarcasm and drunkenness in this piece. I could watch this again and again, all day just for that bit at the end (5:00) where he looks at the orchestra in horror as the piece reaches it's ironic ending.
That's fine. Something about that second movement that always got to me. Would loved to have drank some beer with old Saint-Saens, so starry and warty and so very long gone. Probably one of those guys that liked to smash furniture while drunk.
If he doesn't like a piece, it is unlikely he will ever perform it!! Your negativity gives you away as a small minded person- see beyond yourself! This is what he does...
HOWEVER He more than likely is able to transcend any like or dislike for a piece if he is commissioned to perform it, and will imbue it with all the passion and technique required to bring it to an audience.
Anyone who understands music and is moderately realistic realizes that Simon Trpcevski is a musical and piano genius and his playing is incredible, his technique is amazing and he uses it only to convey the minute nuances of his incredibly rich emotional range with incredible precision and accuracy wherever needed and precisely how it is needed as he has imagined it in musical genius.
fuck, this is ruuuubbish. some pianists never realize that playing the notes in the right order isnt the problem. its what happens between the notes. now here, nothing happened except for unsteadiness
@ilnvita obviously you do not understand music, this is irregular rhythmical music and it is not easy to play and create. In fact, Macedonian folk is full of irregular rhythms. This particular is based on Macedonian folk.
finally, someone ten times more piggish than Lang Lang, only without the histrionics. What a PIG. WHY IS THE TEMPO TOTALLY ALL OVER THE PLACE? and he totally rushes the central section theme. This is not Saint Saens. and his sound is so ugly and tense. BAD.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
what happens between 2:34 and 2:54 shows how poor a musician he is. It's a shame since he is very good technically.
