  • Best Bond Theme and best bond movie ever. As Simple as that.

  • From the opening chords, this theme is captivating. John Barry worked magic with his compositions.

  • Telly Savalas was excellent in his role as Ernst Stavro Blofeld. I wish he would have been in a few more Bond films! George Lazenby is the most under rated James Bond! An excellent on screen fighter, he could have done more, they offered, but his agent gave him some bad advice, saying cold war spy movies would become passe'. Such is life!

  • This is my all time favorite soundtrack to any 007 film. John Barry out did himself on this one!

Too bad Lazenby wasn't a team player. He was a far better Bond than Roger Moore could ever hope to be.

  • The Sound Quality is absolutely superb, and the video absolutely "Crisp" beautiful you have selected some of my all time favourite films and composers John Barry,O.H.M.S.S.and Ipcress,a fellow Yorkshireman,!, and Ron Goodwin {Where Eagles Dare} such haunting and stirring soundtrack music, they just dont write soundracks like this anymore,theV/E,the time it must have taken to do that,,Its like watching them in the Cinema again the first time. made the hairs on my neck stand up all over again,!!

  • My fav Bond film also. Lazenby was great considering this was his first real acting gig. Peter Hunt a fantastic director. He had been editor on first 4 Bond films and supervising editor and second unit director on the fifth. My fav Barry score. Lazenby should have done more. Stupid agent.

  • @iflarnted I totally agree.

  • 1:36 onwards is AWESOME!

  • If my demands are not meet i will kill every lying MP in britian today.

  • Un-forgettable music from the legindary John Barry. George lazenby did'nt do another BOND movie because he did'nt want to be 'type cast'....Which i think is a shame as i thought he made a good bond. Great editing, nice video. I'm surprised it's not had more views. I guess us sentimental old folks are a dying breed. :)

  • Blofeld was so badass in this movie. He didn't just order his men to do the killing, he actually went out with them

  • @bigswano I agree. I once saw somebody's list of the best Bond villains, and whoever it was put Gert Frobe as Goldfinger at the top. Gert was great, and had probably the most famous line in all of the Bond films -- "No, Mister Bond ...... I EXPECT YOU TO DIE!!!" -- but I would place Telly Savalas as Ernst S. B. at the top. He was SO sinister and arrogant .... sort of like your typical New Yorker!!! LOL Just kidding, New Yorkers!

  • The best soundtrack to a Bond movie and one of the best Bond movies ever!

  • This theme is my favorite !!

i remember i was so small kid when i watched this movie !!!

    Very nice editing...

    ..

THIS NEVER HAPPENED WITH ME !! :-p

  • Best soundtrack in the Bond series! But a lot of mistakes were made with this movie. Lazenby didn't pan out, obviously. Bond getting married was also a strange direction to go in, and it's a trick you could only do once.

  • Telly Savalas was excellent in this movie! a true classic Bond! unforgettable soundtrack!

  • The death of Tracy at the end is spellbinding

  • The Best Instrumenal by Bond.

  • This never happened to me either! ;-)

  • Nice tribute to a classic Bond film.

  • ytert

  • Brilliant editing for a superb film! John Barry at his best! Thanks for posting!

  • Amazing tribute to an Amazing film! 100 stars ;)

  • Fantastic! This is totally what a music video would look like, only better.

  • Bro, this is damn good.

  • great job on this editing!

  • Great, I felt like I was sitting next to the bass trombone player, get soundtrack ;-) I love all of this music.

  • Wow, nice work here. Can't stop watching this. ;)

  • Best Bond movie, followed by GoldenEye!

  • This is a first rate piece of editing work, and not to mention the sound quality is excellent.

  • It's a real shame Lazenby decided to drop bond and go on to make such horrible films after wards he was truely wasted.

  • EXCELENT JOB! Top notch. This is, without a doubt in MY mind, the BEST James Bond movie ever. Diana Rigg was the best Bond girl and Telly Savalas as Ernst Stavaro Blofeld was unmatched. George Lazenby's take on Bond was the closest to Ian Fleming's idea of what James Bond should be. OHMSS....the rest just come up short.

  • This is a great Bond film especially since it happened so quickly after the Sean Connery era

  • Um, hmmm, um, can you do other "editing jobs" such as "You Know My Name", "A View to a Kill", perhaps a little "Live and Let Die", can't go wrong with "The Living Daylights", absolutely brilliant work, I second all the people commending you, and you should get into Hollywood or something :)

  • Barry was a genius !!

  • @guziec1981 That's Barry, John Barry licensed too score.

  • Thanks for posting and congrats on the great editing job. If you're not professional, then you should be.

  • Thank you for your interest too.

  • @Glodean6360 I totally agree, what a trailer this would have made!!

  • @Glodean6360

Excellent edit......great to see that other people appreciate OHMSS.

A great film... though tragedically at the time was overshadowed by news of GL's manager to announce prior to the premiere that this would be GL's one and only Bond film (without Lazenby knowing).

If GL had been allowed to sign on for future Bonds, we could of had more excellent down to earth Bond adventures during the 1970's with Peter Hunt directing.

    Thanks Ronan O'Rahilly.................NOT!

  • awesom movie....the soundtrack, the theory and great actors....great video editing. my favorite movie.

  • A work of passion. The best "amateur", (and I use the term lightly), movie/film score tribute that has ever graced the screens of You Tube. Well done and many thanks for sharing your work.

  • one of my favorite bond movies music

RIP John Barry, we'll miss you...

  • I like the way Telly holds that cigarette. everything superb about the movie, music, actors, and this great video!

  • Superb piece of editing, especially like the way you use the central characters most poigniant expressions almost as a montage but cut with brief action sequences. The inclusion of Diana Rigg on ice skates is a master stroke!

  • Thank you TG for your positive observations ....please visit again soon.

  • I wish the Bond films they're making nowadays were as good as those from the 60's. They're all great, except maybe 'You Only Live Twice'.

  • RIP John Barry, one of his finest works (and that's saying something!), not to mention a fantastic film! Shame George's friends told him to give up being Bond, I think he was great

  • The four people who don't liked it must be from SPECTRE.

  • Osvaldo ....this must be one of my favourite comments on this video - thanks.

  • @vaeveja ....you forgot to include Ernst Stavaro Blofeld Hee-Hee.

  • @vaeveja I had thought the same thing and thought I was so clever...three months after you did! LOL!

  • Best Bond.

  • My favorite Bond.

  • Brilliant Video..........This Was The First Vinyl Single I Ever Bought With The Brilliant B-Side Of We Have All The Time In The World By Louis Armstrong ThIs Is The Best James Bond Theme Tune If Not Best Ever Film Theme Tune In My Opinon

  • THIS IS THE BEST BOND SONG

  • This was Barry's Best..........

  • this MUST be considered in the discussion of best Bond theme songs, right up there with Casino Royale and Goldfinger

  • for me,possibly the best bond theme tune.

  • Great editing to one of the best Bond films ever!!

  • I love my British brothers!!

  • best bond soundtrack

  • Farewell Mr B.... you'll be sadly missed

  • This movie and this Bond kicked major ass. Everything about this movie was boss, and Daniel Craig's Bond picked up right from this guy.

  • I think, that this Bond film has the best action scenes.

  • Mr Barry was a true genius whether he knew it or not. Thanks for the clip

  • excellent . nice job

  • Great, great video. Nice job!

  • A LEGEND has passed into History...................

But he sure touched MILLIONS of us with his music.

    Thanks you Mr. Barry

  • A LEGEND has passed into History...................

But he sure touched MILLIONS of us with his music.

    Thanks you Mr. Barry

  • R.I.P. JOHNY BARRY

  • Very sad to hear about John Barry.

I love this theme so much and would have really liked to have seen more from Lazenby and Peter Hunt.

    My fav Bond film.

  • very sad news, your music will live forever, the best.

  • very sad news, your music will live forever, the best

  • The finest of them all..

    RIP John, a fellow northerner.

  • RIP John Barry! You were a great composer! Thank you!

  • Quite possibly his greatest movie them tune and that's up against some fairly stiff competition. It oozes class and I don't care what age you are, it just makes you want to be Bond. I can think of no greater epitaph for the genius that was John Barry.

  • best video description ever! :D Can't believe I've never seen this bond film. gonna get on that now

  • Bless you John Barry for sharing your talents with the world and making it better, forever.

John Barry was of the greatest composers of all time, an icon of our era. He introduced synthesizers to cinema on this, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. He is best known for the many legendary bond films, but he also did born free out of africa the lion in winter dances with wolves Somewhere in Time, An Indecent Proposal, Midnight Cowboy, specialist, a beautiful mind & Game of Death (Bruce Lee)

  • RIP John Barry. Gone but not forgotten

  • Awesome share, MrMLD72MLD....LMAO!!~Phurdrick

  • ♥ .

  • @MrMLD72MLD Respect !

  • R.I.P. John Barry- So much marvellous music over so many years. Here for us to enjoy now and forever. Thanks

  • Safe journey Mr. Barry

  • R.I.P John Barry. Timeless. Soundtrackcollector. = Excellent video.

  • RIP Mr Barry

  • R.I.P JOHN BARRY....thank you for your sublime, unique and very tasteful music.

  • Well done- great tribute

  • rip john barry

  • John Barry was such an amazing composer, and OHMSS was elevated to new heights because of his work. He will be sorely missed. RIP John Barry.

  • RIP John Barry. What a potent theme; slowly descending...

  • Arguably the best Bond them, with arguably the best Bond.

  • RIP John Barry. Thanks for the music :)

  • R.I.P. John Barry

  • The best Bond Theme in my view

  • Sad to hear that John Barry has died. He ranks up there with other great movie music composers like Bernard Hermann, Henry Mancini, Maurice Jarre and of course Ennio Morricone. Thanks for the music legacy, Mr Barry

  • Best Original Bond Theme ever and a dedication to John Barry who died yesterday. When this theme plays with the ski chase is amazing and one of the main Bond films with not obvious music.

  • RIP JOHN BARRY.

  • I like the way that a totally evil villain like Blofeld can still look badass while petting a fluffy kitty, heheh

  • Best Bond film, best theme - RIP John

  • This is without a doubt the best bond film EVER!!! Fantastic fight sequences, the best skii chase in movie history, the best Blofeld and the best soundtrack and musical score of the entire series, and i have watched them all.

I first watched this film on Betamax video 29years ago, and it has still not lost it effect on me.

OHMSS has never received the recognition it truly deserves, but its good to see that i am not alone in my admiration of this classic piece of film making.

  • Underrated Film

  • Diana Rigg was so hot in this movie

  • Good job sir, bravo!

  • the best ever bond film, the chemistry between tracy & bond carried this film to a new height no previous or since bond film ever has done, best script, best music, best cast, Lazenby was 007, considering his lack of experience he walked away with the title, had he done more he would have been acknowledged so, however we all know what went on, only 3 bond films worth watching, Goldfinger - You Only Live Twice - OHMSS, Connery was the great, but Lazenby had something extra, romance vulnerability?

  • PROBABLY THE BEST! IT WAS AND IS THE BEST BOND FILM EVER MADE, THE CHEMESTRY BETWEEN BOND & TRACY WAS SELF EVIDENT FOR ALL TO SEE TO DATE NO OTHER BOND FILM AS EVEN COME CLOSE, THE ACTORS WHERE RIGHT, THE SCRIPT WAS RIGHT, THE MUSIC WAS RIGHT, GEORGE LAZENBY WAS STICHED UP, CONSIDERING HIS LACK OF EXPERIENCE HE WAS ALMOST PERFECT, WITHOUT QUESTION LANZENBY WAS 007

  • This version of Blofeld is cool

  • I think George Lazenby is much better than Roger Moore and very underrated.

  • Probably the best ever film score for a Bond film... but IMHO certainly not the best film...

  • This guy could have been a good action star, but he just didn't seem appropriate for this role. Even the much maligned Roger Moore seemed more Bond than this guy.

  • Lazenby was all right. Dunno why they didn't like him at that time, but he sure is better that - the great nonetheless Roger Moore.

  • This has to to the best video yet......For years i heard people bad mouth this movie even producer Micheal Wilson. But now it seems people are taking a good look at this Film and seeing how Great and how close to the Book it is.

  • Good montage.

  • Great "montage". Very well edited and the theme song is just awesome.

  • I think Lazenby even if he he did stay on would have lost his job after Diamonds Are Forever. Nothing, not even Connery could save that piece of trash.

  • Superb editing.

The best Bond movie and the best score of them all.

  • BOND IS BARRY !

Great Lazenby with always perfect hair cut !!

    Genial Telly bad ass !!!

    So beautiful Diana !!!!

Amazing treatment for an underrated 007 movie !!!!!

    You made it again soundtrackcollector*

  • Best Bond movie ever. Good video.

  • i want this bond theme played at my funeral along with the theme for star trek. yes i do live alone, but her majesty`s secret service is brilliant

  • i want this bond theme played at my funeral along with the theme for star trek. yes i do live alone, but her majesty`s secret service is effing brilliant

  • The name's Lazenby... George Lazenby...

  • I feel that this bond movie does not get enough credit it is underated for sure one of m favorite bond movies of them all love Dianna Rigg as well the best bond girl in all of the movies to

  • Great video. Massively underrated film. Fight seens are mint!

  • Great montage thanks!

    Love 2:21

  • Not my favorite Bond film (the only real good thing about it was Diana Rigg) but definitely one of my favorite Bond opening themes

  • My Favorite Bond movie ever..and I love Bond... I love it becuase he Fall in Love and actually gets well you know... and its the only time he ever did...and the editing on thie video is great and HQ.... Nice work...

  • 1:24 rasberry slushies, my fav

  • This is the best Bond film!

  • Probably the best Bond film ever-brilliant!!!

  • @3friend ....many thanks for your positive comments.

  • @3friend

I do also like the film very much, I LOVE the music...but I don't like George Lazenby so much..I don't know why...maybe his face oO xD

    However..the film is great!

  • @KekseFreak Ha ha..george is a little too aussie for Bond. In a way it was a miracle he got the part.

  • Absolutely brilliant video fab editing-best i have seen on You Tube-fantastic job! Thanks for posting.

  • Well officer....I was listening to this theme music, thats why my Ford Escort was pushing 120....sorry.

  • Oh, Diana Rigg! The face that launched a thousand spies! She had it all!

  • best bond soundtrack but not the best bond - strange film - in many ways the best bond film but lazenby and rigg let it down - can't imagine connery in it - most interesting bond film - great tragic ending etc

  • The greatest Bond movie there ever was. Together with the greatest soundtrack ever made for any movie.

  • Definitely the high octane of all Bond movies.

  • Nice Job...

  • really a landmark bond film, where he shows emotion, love, vulnerability, and weakness... a wonderful movie

  • I fully agree with the guy that said "Excellent editing, one of the best i've seen on youtube in all honesty. Most "music video's" aren't edited to go that well with the music but this fits perfectly" - great fkkn vidjob.

  • Was Telly Savalas the first one with the white cat or was it Donald Pleasance?..

  • Excellent editing, one of the best i've seen on youtube in all honesty. Most "music video's" aren't edited to go that well with the music but this fits perfectly.

  • Many thanks CP.

  • thx... my fav James Bond Lazenby was a great 007 and Diana Riggs is still HOT!

  • I've always loved this film, its theme and George Lazenby's one and only Bond performance. It's such an understated film and so is the central performance. Diana Rigg too is perfect as a Bond girl who is way more than just a pretty face. Great alpine set-pieces and a tragic ending. What's not to love about this film. The best of the Bonds... in my opinion.

  • Yeah, my favorite Bond theme! This one gives me the goosebumbs!

  • Best Bond theme bar none.

  • This film is soooo fantastic, absolutly great

  • The best bond and a good mix up

  • As a Bond theme, this sounds sinister, my fave of them all.

  • I can't believe this theme is from 1969 ! Really amazing .

    .

  • There were a few parts of this movie to dislike, but this track is definitely a strong point.

Now I've got a question for the serious Bond fans: What's with the first few minutes of "View to a Kill"? Not only does a rewritten version of this track play, but there is excessive skiing, Bond loses a ski, there's another dead agent, and there's even unnecessary use of the word "beluga". Many similarities.

  • Great, great music for an excellent movie. I just came to a slight revelation about why Lazenby was not one of my top Bonds. His eyes. Connery, Dalton, Craig can all muster up a look that could kill. And George L. might have improved if he had done a 2nd or 3rd Bond flick, also.

  • My favorite of bond-intros!

  • Lazenby was excellent as Bond - probably the best. Shame he didn't do any more Bond movies. One of the greatest Bond movies with superb backing music.

  • thanks a bunch Soundtrackcollector! (collector of REAL 'soundtracks') ;-)

  • best bond film by far

  • George Lazenby was a great 007...maybe TOO good!!!

  • George Lazenby was a great 007...MAYBE to good???

  • The first Bond film I ever saw way back in 1969 and still my favourite.

  • George Lazenby was a great Bond.

Telly Savalas was of the best Bond Villans. One of my favourites.

  • People have criticized Lazenby for his performance largely because he was different from Connery, and they had grown used to Connery. But Lazenby plays Bond actually truer to form than Connery ever did.

Lazenby's job was to play Bond, NOT to play Connery.

  • This movie and Casino Royal have a lot in common. Brilliantly done

  • It's a good movie! If Connery had starred in it, it might have been the best Bond film ever.

  • A superb, absolutely SUPERB homage to what is, overall, still the best, most vividly realized, Bond film of all time! And Lazenby was great as Bond. And Barry's score---well, it's John Barry, after all, so it could not but be a classic. Great video tribute & homage, Soundtrackcollector (as am I, btw)...thanks for posting!

  • great video, very well done, Thanks :)

  • Thanks for finding the vid and commenting Mike.

  • WELL DONE! This version of Bond was one of my favorites. Along with Sean and Daniel of course!

  • i definitely like this one over "you only live twice" anytime:)

  • Comment removed

  • i skied that run when i was in murren in jan 03.f**k*ng great buzz and all because i watched this film.

  • With all due respect to Lazenby, I think it would have been far more poignant end to the Connery years, had he stayed on for this movie. To see his cool character fall in love, and then have that stripped away from him, cradling his dead wife at the end... Maybe in an alternate universe!

  • @Soundtrackcollector

That was brilliant with the opening. I still haven’t brought this on DVD I have most of the Bond films and this John Barry score has a Bond touch, also it was nearing the end of 60’s leading into the 70’s where James Bond will return…

  • Great action flick that just happened to be a Bond flick. Lazendy was okay, but he screwed himself w/bad behaviour. At one time, Oliver Reed was considered for the role, but his hellraising lifestyle prompted the Broccolis to reconsider.

  • ♥ .

  • it was a great film one of my favorites considering moore and connery were my favorites. yes it was different ,i i loved the ski scenes loved the music loved the fact that bond got married, loved diana riggs!

  • Best Bond film. Best Bond title music. Best bond villain. Best bond.
