@97manutd Stoke are never going to outplay Arsenal so their game plan would be to fight for every ball. I wouldn't think it's fair to say that they were targeting any player, which is what you seem to be suggesting. And I certainly wouldn't think it fair to say shawcross delibirately meant to harm Ramsey. I'm sure you would find many challenges from Arsenal players similar to Delap challenge in the last pic.

Yes I agree, Stokes game plan would be to fight for every ball but modern tactics means you have to give more spoiling attention to the most talented players. I am not suggesting Shawcross deliberately set out to cripple Ramsey but his manager Pulis definately would have said rumble him out of the play as he is a threat. Personally, I believe Ramsey over stretched himself and he became highly vunerable at that speed of play. his leg was stressed to the limit then shawcross came in - disaster.

shawcross didnt mean it. give the guy a break!!! shawcross himself is a fantastic talent and it was a 50-50 ball that both players were unlucky with.

it was never a sending off, and he fully deserves his call up to the full england squad. it was probs for the best to protect him for rest of the game tho.

as for ramsey, i hope he comes back. please dont rush him back. give him all the time he needs. he is a fantastic talent and i hope that he doesnt end up like ashton did for west ham...
