Mine is a 2001 Club Cab. The rear section is a huge piece. It looks like the screws are hidden better, maybe under the door sill, and where are the back ones? There are clips where it's upholstered. Does anyone have any tips?
@USCboy1 The principle should be the same. I believe it will use the same "hooks" to secure it to the door. The only real difference will likely be where the screws/bolts are located. I cannot say for sure, but from what I have seen of my buddy's 2006 Dakota, it should be pretty close. If you take a panel of a 2007, get some video if you can, I would love to see it. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
@TheTexasCoder ok i will video it. i tried taking it off yesterday and the only problem was that door handle latch. it wouldn't pop off. i didn't want to break it so i just put the door back on. i will make a video soon and send you the link
I ordered a set of new speakers for my 2001 Dakota. The instructions they sent me about how to remove the door panel was severely lacking (even though it was suppose to be specific to the Dakota). Without this video I would have had a lot of frustration. Thanks for putting this how-to together!!!
@pacosaurus Thank you for commenting! I am glad the video helped, I was in the same boat before doing this video, and thought to myself...I need to video this so others won't fight their door panels. I am glad the video helped, and I hope those new speakers sound awesome! Thanks again for watching and commenting!
@rubioo93 Thanks for the comment. The wheels were like that when I bought it a year ago. Sadly, the individual that painted them, painted over the wheel weights, so it looks a little rough on a couple of the rims. Although, blacking out rims looks good on some cars, for me I like the factory aluminum look, this spring I am thinking of re-painting them. But, thank you for the kind words. If you are interested, you can use duplicolor to paint your rims, and I hear rustoleum wheel paint works well.
@mwb2112 Thanks for watching and for the comment! Yes, the rear panels are just the same, in fact I found them a bit easier considering there are a total of four screws holding it to the door, and then you just lift up and out, and the panel comes off. Have fun with the speakers, and check out my speaker video and look in the comments for the wire colors...they are for a 2001 model with non-infinity system.
@jag1870 Thank you! I am glad the video helped, and you liked it. This is the main reason I make my videos! Once you get one panel off and know how it works, taking the others off is a 10 minute job! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
