  • over the top? This guy was on heavy medication during most of the war. The guy was a walking time-bomb. I'm sure he was very difficult to deal with...No such thing as over the top for a man than did what he did. Hitlers passion was hatred....I thought Wouks version of Hitler was very believable. Lets not forget also, he killed some of his generals, including Rommel, so Hitler was indeed out of control, and not some thoughtful diplomatic leader.

  • Bruno Ganz made the best ever portrayal of Hitler.

  • 'They consulted with Fegelein' Yeah and probably got Fegelein to script the Steiner rant scene then show it to Downfall Hitler and he got pissed off with it lol

  • Hehehe! Those cocaine eye-drops again Dolph

  • Well, keep in mind that as a politician, Hitler was essentially an actor, and whenever he wanted to intimidate or sway somebody, he would put on a very elaborate performance, whether it was the masses he spoke to or the generals he personally bullied and harangued. He was really only at ease and was himself on non official business.

  • Wow, and I thought Alec Guinness's portrayal was over the top!

  • @CloneOfJoster285 you should check out his "Steiner monoluge" its' in my hitler parody playlist

  • @cripplehawk Good thing Bruno Ganz didnt study Berkoffs rant before filming Downfall...
