  • What you hear are bassoons!! What a horrible unnecessary mistake.

  • lol thru the youtube?

  • my balls usually make the hole bigger too

  • doe's someone know where to buy JUST the bell section

  • thumbs up if you like the vid, but you're not sure about the sound of the trombones being played...

  • I'm a trombone player and I find the guy at the end's inability to hold a trombone correctly slighty offensive.

  • @SHExxLIKESxxBARINAS Yeah, I'm play trombone, too, and I definitely agree. It's like. . . they couldn't have payed somebody who knows something about trombones play one?

  • @SHExxLIKESxxBARINAS excuse me, i dont see you playing anywhere up on youtube, and or playing with major symphonic orchestras...hmmmm

  • @SHExxLIKESxxBARINAS Well 1. He is holding it correctly. and 2. If they sound that good. It doesn't really matter.

  • @TheOtakuAmp excuse me, i've been playing for 5 years now. i think i know how to hold a trombone correctly.

  • @SHExxLIKESxxBARINAS And I've been playing for nearly eight and major in trombone performance in college. There isn't much other way to hold a double-valve bass than that. Even if you are talking about a tenor, that's still pretty close.

  • Tricky, but i finally managed to masturbate at this video.

  • @Ger7520 grats

  • @Sk0gg1es or a bass trumbone.

  • Thumbs up if you are a trombone player and in then end you saw him holding it wrong. haha

  • @achalorocks ROFL

  • What is that in the back of the trombone my king trombone doesn't have that plus I'm not 20 or 30 I'm 11

  • @airsoftpro99 They are attachments that change the pitch. You probably have just a beginner trombone that's only the slide. The trombone in the video is a bass trombone that has two attachments so that the player can go lower in pitch. When you get into high school you will probably see more trombones with an F attachment (only one). This means, for instance, that in 1st position you can play a B flat and hold down the trigger for the attachment and play a C without having to go to 6th.

  • He said "youtube" lol

  • It's backwards, and the outer slide is upside down. That's why you have trombone play watch your material.

  • My trombone does not have the extra tubing at the back it only has the slide, bell and tuning slide and that is good for me.

  • @MrComputergeek3 it is not a trumbone its a sackbutt:)

  • @FDFPi1 or a left handed trombone :)

  • did anyone notice (who plays trombone) that it was put together backwards in the beginning?

  • TROMBONES RULE!!!

  • thumbs up if you want to say that's what she said

  • Bass Trombone!!!

  • I have a 15,000 dollar S. E. Shires Bass Trombone damn do I love it

  • hah sackbutt thats two in one

  • i think after the intro its 5th 4 th 1st 5th

  • I have a bass and tenor trombone and its probably my favorite instrument :)

  • I have an Andreas eastman f trigger trombone, I'm looking to sell it since being upgraded to bass, how much are they valued at?

  • Comment removed

  • So fucking cool.

  • YOU ONLY PLAY THIS SHIT WHEN SOMEONE DIES...

  • @FLOYDNOBALLS118 Hell no you never seen jazz, idiot wait you only think of saxaphones in that

  • @14greenboy14 wait till you die and i'll play that instrument for you

    bwahahahaaaaaaaaaaa

    bwahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    bwahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • @FLOYDNOBALLS118 I already play that instrument

  • How It's Made: On The Cheap.

  • Musicgirlly1..

If you want a small bore tenor with no F attachment from a crappy brand they're like $1500 yes. These are actually pretty cheap. My Edwards was almost 4,000USD. I'm actually a sax player as well and compared to those trombones are like a fourth of the price & don't need near as much maintenance. One of the main reasons why I switched my primary.

  • lol thats the same kind of trombone my friend has

  • looks so wrong at 1:39

  • For all of you asking it is D with both triggers depressed. Gb with The Second trigger only down. F with the first trigger only. Bb with no triggers depressed. Hope this helps.

  • @QuantizedAndy

It's Gb/F Bass trombone. Yes the bore is larger then a TENOR trombone as well as the bell is usually around 10inches instead of 8 to 9(tenor). Sounds to me like you have a small bore tenor with an F-wrap which is pointless. You can't use the F-wrap properly if you don't have a large bore. Other then that it's just for if your arms can't reach 6 or 7th position.

Any questions feel free to ask.

  • These are double-valve bass trombones; they have an E and an F valve, if I understand correctly.

  • How its made : Babies

  • sackbutt

  • it shows how to make bass trombones, not trombones

  • @OhnoesJG It shows how to make a G/F trombone, not a bass or tenor trombone. The difference between a bass trombone and a [tenor] trombone is not the extra valves, or 'plugs', but the diameter of the tube. The thicker the tube, the easier it is to hit lower notes. I have a tenor trombone with an F plug, and I have seen Bb bass trombones.

  • Shouldn't the background music be trombones?

  • Trombones rock! :D

  • omg i thought it said "Tombstone" turned out to be "Trombones" v_v

  • What song is played by the 2 guys at the end??

  • what is he laughing at in 3:05?

  • tromboner

  • The trombone is put together backwards for the first display.

  • @AttackTurkey1

Obviously they didn't ask the the trombonists how to put it together.

  • I play trombone but this is my first yearbook

  • what is that tool called that roles the bell flare to make that parabolic shape? Does anybody know because i want to buy that for my lathe to use. How am i going to buy something when i don't know the name of the tool, Im just saying. Im trying to make my life easier, Thanks

  • I didn't even know what a trombone really was, but I sure as fuck know how it's made.

  • I like how, at the very beginning, the slide is on the wrong side of the trombone. It clearly should be on the right side, because of the way the valve is positioned.

  • @trombonemassa what is that tool called that roles the bell flare to make that parabolic shape? Does anybody know because i want to buy that for my lathe to use. How am i going to buy something when i don't know the name of the tool, Im just saying. Im trying to make my life easier, Thanks

  • Concert tomorrow. 4 songs; Senior in High School. Play bass trombone. Except I play a Conn, better than a Shires.

  • I'm a percussionist, but I've always noticed that when brass instruments play beyond what is considered "good tone quality," they produce an awe inspiring metallic sound. On low instruments like trombone, it sounds especially cool.

  • @NoahsGuitarChannel what is that tool called that roles the bell flare to make that parabolic shape? Does anybody know because i want to buy that for my lathe to use. How am i going to buy something when i don't know the name of the tool, Im just saying. Im trying to make my life easier, Thanks

  • I'm now going to learn trombone in school this year. Wish me luck.

  • @SusannahAnderson1997 Good luck. I've been playing since 1979, when I was in the 6th. grade. Some of the best time of my life were with the band- I even met my wife in our high school alumni band.

  • So many "That's what she saids" on this.

  • @shayjere No kidding!

  • @shayjere Yeah this is a great episode for the How It's Made Drinking Game

  • Haha, a SEAMroller

  • At the end that was a really smooth sound, I've played trombone for two years now on an Andreas Eastman trombone and I love it,I've never played on a shire but hope to in the future

  • @TheARJ15 I'm not familiar with either brand (I have 2 Bach Stradivarius Model 42B's) - but the important part is that YOU are comfortable and happy with your instrument. In the end, it's all about the music-I agree about the smooth tone quality.

  • 1:38 naughty!! naughty!! naughty!!

  • I nearly cried the day we finally got approval to use financial aid to purchase a professional instrumment. Face as good as these Trombones sound, who has $8,000 right off the bat?
