thank you for having the consciousness to catch the gong hit. the first time I saw Tool was in The Joint at the Hard Rock in vegas, and when Danny hit the gong the sound was so low and loud that I actually had a fluid discharge in my pants. no joke. ok, maybe a joke, but still, that gong hit in Lateralus is bone chilling. If Tool did shows that consisted of nothing but this song, I would still go.

TJWhitey, the pause @ 5:04 is nice and it enhances the live performance. However it isn't that great, it's a little obvious, and it sure ain't better than the original. The original is the way it is, period. It hits you in the face even harder, haha (nice expression) Try not to use the word "disappointing" when talking about the best song/band ever. Peace bro. their 1 second pause before the ending segment in 5:04 is what makes the finale slam you in the face, they do it every concert and it just gives you that tingling sensation everytime, but then when you listen to the record again, the pause isnt there and its almost dissappointing when you dont hear it

GREAT sound quality on this. I was Section AAA, 3rd row, dead center-best seats in the house! I love that 3-beat pause before they all hit the first chord of the climax. Adam has 2 braids; he has a very subtle interplay/communication with the other members on stage. Maynard was in a good mood, Justin holds the whole thing together, and Danny was Possessed on those Ochtree drums.They truly work it together. 1 of their best preformances EVER. I was lucky and honored to be there.

yeah adam had a pony tail. It was weird cuz he looked native american. Ive seen them on there last show of the lateralus tour in long beach, then coachella, then twice at the sports area for 10000 days, then this second day at san diego cox.....a fukin-masing!!! I swore it sounded like they were playing the cd lol. BEST BEST BEST I've ever seen them. I got there late just after they played PUSHIT lol which sucked ass hahaha.
