Mr. Peterson,.. the same man who on Fox national cable astoundingly states that he thanks (his) god for slavery and allowing his family and other african-americans to be enslaved so that they can enjoy the [pleasures] of life in modern american... - simply pathetic and embarrassing, Why is this man called "Rev" ? Did he, in fact, ever complete an accredited grammar school in this country ?
@shieldsff - if your inquiry is referring to Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright you might want to stop by Wikipedia at the Jeremiah_Wright page regarding his educational and other credentials.
no, this posts relates to the Fox News commentator Jesse Lee Peterson. How on earth does this man get called "rev" ? I suspect that this is a completely fabricated credential. I PRAY that I never hear the Rev.Wright giving thanks to God 4 slavery or the history of slavery in this country (however wonderful things will ever get for blacks).African slavery will forever be a halocautic stain on this nation&a crime against all humanity. Evil happens, but Christians don't thank God for evil works
@strvinmarv ok so you don't agree that usa government brings the drugs into this country, makes people addicts, builds jails for profit & does war profiteering all over the world. so you don't agree that is wrong and that god will damn usa. but you agree with this loose interpretation of the bible? just like every other preacher, white or black or any other color.
@candlemovies Umm, half of those things should earn you an aluminum foil hat, no, the government doesn't import illegal drugs to make addicts, and how does spending over thirty thousand dollars an inmate equal profit in any stretch of the imagination?!?!? Whats your real beef my friend?
@mechael1983 now that is the point isn't is? whoever is funding this knows exactly what they are doing. keep them hating, keep them divided, keep them fighting, keep them doing the devil's work. this jeremiah keeps profiting and who's work are these preachers are doing, both black and white & yellow etc. satan's work of course. hate is all that fills usa. usa is not a good nation & never will be. it is filled with haters and sinners and god will destroy it. those who like sacrifice are doomed.
What would happen if I marched in that church on a Sunday morning and sat down in the front row? Would they welcome me in their church? Or would they make me leave, because my ancestors owned slaves...even though I wasn't alive back then.
Just an FYI - if you really want to sit in the front pew, you'll have to show up very early; the parking lot fills quickly. Deciding to worship at Trinity would be an significantly educational, spiritual and fellowship experience that would challenge all of your preconceived notions about the congregation.
@ronptech Why would I go there. I wouldn't learn about Jesus. I would just learn about hate. That's just my opinion about what I've hear and watched. I would camp out in front!
@mechael1983 You would be very welcome. Jeremiah Wright is not racist. If he were, he would not be a minister in the United Church of Christ (which is a mostly WHITE denomination in Christianity).
sorry, i typed that at the beginning of the episode.
no, i caught it later. I was very interested when he talked about the multi-linguistic nature of the symbols.
Probably because I belong to the white gospel crowd that he's always critiquing. I like to ask questions or point out what I think are inconsistencies rather than blatant name-calling.
To be positive- the rev. is great orator (I'm sure much like the great King Jr.), I agree when he points to Jesus as the way. I'm running out of space.
I watch all 6 of these and it brought tears to my eyes and wish the country, and the media news would use this as a stepping stone to a better universe. THANK YOU
Rev Wright preaches the good will of God, while exposing the danger and result of violence. This is what God's book tells us. You just want to be blind and watch your sports and music videos, say the world is perfect and be unaware of evil, while this man is telling us what God expects of this country, what we should be living up to. The goodness we seek. Don't let the media blind you. Don't fear the truth for it will set you free.

women are superior to men and this is a fact men do not want to admit.

While I have heard his politics and I don't agree with him to that respect, I love this sermon!

Did you miss the part about folks getting hung up on the symbol, which is nothing more than a sign that points to the source.
BTW - how come you have nothing positive to say, other than about the musicians?
