  • Don't think of him as kind of dick weed, huh

  • Commenting again over three years after my first comment to say the drum loop is still awesome.

  • 臣が大好き

  • 清春のお父ちゃんが好きな曲なんだったっけ・・・

  • 自然と情景が浮かんでくる。心にどんどん入ってくる。珠玉の名作ですね。

  • Commenting again almost two and a half years after my first comment to say the drum loop is still awesome.

  • kuroyume will be playing @ budoukan 2009 29/1.

  • My favorite VK band ever.

  • 名曲だな~・・・・・・

    今聞いてもすごくいい曲・・・

  • Kuroyume's first 2 records really defined the whole decade of 90's Harajuku sound and look. Not that they were the only one's by any means - there were so many bands - but dang how intense their sound was at the time!!

  • malice mizer luna sea and laruku to name some more : D

  • インディーズ時代では、一番の名曲では・・・?

  • 名曲ですなー。

  • I love this song...everything about it is beautiful...the music, the lyrics...Kuroyume rox!!! ^^

  • If you like this song, then please check out the song "PHANTOM LOVER" by Kiyoharu, the singer of this band. It's his new reworking of this indies classic...despite lacking the badass drumloop, the new version is quite haunting, with a desolate sounding acoustic guitar and somewhat echoed vocals for the main portion of the song. It's on his album "FORVER LOVE," but unfortunately, has no video, at least not yet.

  • Commenting again over a year later to say I still love the drum loop.

  • And VK is so NOT goth ^_^

    All similarities are purely superficial.

  • VK in the 90's Golden Era had a diverse pool of talent. Each pioneer bands had unique, signature sound (Luna Sea, Kuroyume, L'árc, MM, etc). BUT VK also had a distinct "sound", similar but not same to all bands. It's the chord progression, structure, rhythm, vocal style or whatever.

  • I had no idea that this even existed. This is my favorite Kuroyume song. I'm soooo happy. Argh it means I'll have to get m hands on a physical copy somehow.

  • Love the drum loop, cool song.

  • They are Kuroyume - a legend in the Visual Rock world.

  • Who is this singer/band? I really like it ^_^(total newb in the jrock goth music world LOL)

  • Goth and visual kei are two seperate things kthx

  • Maybe to you,but Goth and Visual kei are alot of different things to other people :) 11 months ago,I barely knew what visual Kei was...so you might want to think alittle on that. :) Not trying to be rude or anything cause I dunno if thats what your thinking or not but wanted to let you know that.

  • LOL No way. Visual Kei bands play Gothic rock, and Visual Kei was the "gothic" scene in Japan. And also in Europe Gothic magazines treat Visual Kei bands as Gothic rock bands.

  • visual kei isnt the music its the looks! its not only the music its the look! I mean, look at oshare kei, that is definitely NOT goth but IT IS a form of visual kei just like all those other forms of visual kei. Visual kei is about the look! and go look on google if you dont know what it is. Or wikipedia they have everything there.

  • btw: dont think Im angry r whatever cause actually I dont care for genres r whatever people have these days .. :)

    Btw LOOOOOOVE KUROYUMEEE

  • Maybe you should go and search for some info about Visual kei, and actually listen to core bands of the genre. ALL true Visual Kei band have similar style, just listen to Kuroyume, Madeth gray'll, Dir en grey, Laputa, or for a more softer style: Malice Mizer, Lareine, Baiser, Rouage, Noi'X, Penicillin, SHAZNA. All Visual bands in the 90's played Gothic rock. And the look doesn't mean anything. Some bands dropped the Visual look, some other disn't even cared for it.

  • SHAZNA for example played soft goth rock in their indies days and back then they didn't even use make-up! Then when they turn major they dropped the Visual music style and started playing pop, but with make up and women clothes!

Music is about music, and all bands belonging to a music scene plays with a similar style.

Oshare Kei is not Visual kei, or, if you want, Oshare kei is a DEGENERATED form of Visual Kei, not true Visual Kei.

  • I listen to deg, kuroyume, malice mizer and a lot of others but a lot of vk bands sound different then eachother and I did look it up when I first heard of VK and Im just telling what I read. and you dont need to get in defence, im just telling what I read.

and its not worth the time, just enjoy the music :)

  • The reason some VK bands seem to have a similar style is because they influence each other. For example Kyo and Hakuei were Kiyoharu roadies and Kamijo was a Mana roadie, etc. Kuroyume is probably one of the most original visual kei bands musically aside from their influences from Western artists.

  • @Milkchan7 Hakuei was a Kiyoharu roadie too? O_O i didnt knew that! O_O Thank You!

  • aaam... i checked out when both of them started their bands and the years are too close to Hakuei being a Kuroyume roadie

  • You are right in a sense -Goth is an actual genre of music and the music must have specific themes and technicalities to be defined as such. Visual kei is barely even a genre of music -more of a nickname the Japanese media has chosen to call bands that have extreme visuals in concerts,PV's, and such. There is no musical technicality required for a band to be classified as VK as long as they have the "look." VK bands ARE known to dress in a goth fashion but the music has nothing to do with it.
