I am not a handy man and people tell me that you put the baseboard on before you fit the carpet, why is this? wouldnt it be easier to put carpet down first and then just place the baseboard down and nail it to the wall (paint it before it goes on the wall)??

@626F62 I'm actually installing a baseboard with previously lain carpet right now. It's hard to shove it down where it's supposed to go - I suspect it's easier dealing with the concrete floor underneath.
