  • I hate to say this - but I thought this would be a total jazz disaster.

I couldn't even begin to fathom hearing this song without Charles Lloyd and his crew.

Yet, this is quite enjoyable. They make this song their own. I love it. I have Charles Lloyd's on vinyl and can't listen to it because I haven't taken the time to buy another turntable. Of course, his will remain my all-time favorite. But, this one is really cool.

  • Forest Flower is a fine example of what many call a jazz work horse. These cats do a fine job of exploring the tune. Of course, there is nothing like the old 60's cut with Charles Lloyd, Kieth Jarrett, et al.

  • yeah tonayyy (bro in audience)

  • Charles Lloyd "Forest Flower" (1969)

  • this was recorded the july 14th 2008 on the canada day
