I just don't understand how the maker of this film, Joel P. Engardio, who is homosexual, and somehow remains an advocate of the Watchtower that teaches in their doctrine for it's members to hate homosexuals and deny homosexuals rights loosing access to their families via shunning (if a baptized JW becomes openly gay). The guy is a walking talking contradiction.

how is it moral or ethical to disfellowship (SHUN) a brother or sister that disagrees with Watchtower doctrine that is constantly changing? Does the truth ever change? Does the Bible ever change? The Watchtower has changed it's doctrines many times.

@JOAOPENICHE Organ transplants. Forbidden from approximately the 1940's until the early '60's, the Watchtower Society considered organ transplants to be a form of 'cannibalism'.  Some Witnesses died due to this policy, just as many have died due to the ever-changing blood policy. Then, sometime in the '60's, organ transplants became 'acceptable', because the Governing Body 'suddenly' received "new light". Which unfortunately came too late for those who had turned them down up until that time.

@JOAOPENICHE Their position on blood transfusions also 'morphed' over the years. Initially, ALL types of blood transfusions were forbidden; whole blood, plasma, fractions, and so on. Nowadays, EVERYTHING is allowed EXCEPT for 'whole blood' and 'red blood cells'... Apparently, if it's "red", you're spiritually 'dead'... Try reading ALL of their OLD literature at the Kingdom Hall. It would be very odd if the Jehovah's Witnesses refused your request - unless they're hiding something...

When someone is Disfellowshipped and we stop talking to them, its not because we're evil and have no love for them. the fact that we dont call them everyday and what not... its because of love! so that they realize they miss us and want to come back and live by Jahovah's standards! my 2 aunts are DF and i havent talken to them in years. i miss them so much, but theyre starting to realize that this is the truth and so they said theyre trying to come back..

30,000 disfellowshipped..over 1/4 of a million baptised..an low ratio considering Satan's influence on mankind..there are a lot more than 30,000 who are expelled/discharged etc..from secular religions/charities for far less than what witnesses are disfellowshipped for..secular organizations practice the same 'shunning and ostracization' mandates we do, yet for things against other men..we do it because it happens against the Sovereign Lord of the Universe..Acts 5:29 says it all..

The disfellowshipping means two things. First, it shows the organization refuses to lower bible standards just to keep numbers high. Secondly, its in harmony with the scriptures. Jehovah did not hesitiate to "disfellowship" Israel from him or to punish Moses, Aaron, David or any one. It's not about numbers. Its about keeping the bad influence out. It also shows that the claim JW's do nothing about wrongdoers is false. Paul removed two apostates and others.

krazy, the comment was not directed at you, but an addition to it. You see, these opposers have been going onto JW boards and posting negative comments everytime I post a positive one. Before they could make one of their negative comments, I posted that. But since you say you block people, I realize I didn't have to post that. It is a long story and I will write you about it.

I stated facts for all to see. This doesn't mean it disagrees with your posting. More people than just you see the postings. Apostates looking for something to ridicule will see the postings, and I nipped it in the bud.
