First of all the color scheme for this clip is taken directly from the original cover art of Carlos Castaneda's "Fire From Within", the storyline itself is taken from "journey to Ixtlan" by Castaneda as well. I was impressed when I first saw Homers exchange with the coyote, which was modeled after Carlos' own experience with a talking coyote in the desert. Very cool reference to the single most important non-fiction literary work of our time. It's wasted on stoners and idiots though.
