  • This is amazing . i started taking guitar lessons a while ago and on my first lesson my teacher played me this , since , i only think of that glorious moment when i can finally be able to learn this amazing ballad. great performance .

  • lo mejor!

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

  • I loose myself in this song, so much emotion & beauty.

  • amazing <3

  • beautiful! my gitar teacher used to play this as a warn up. he was very good :P

  • <3

  • great job

  • Weird, I thought it's played slower...

  • @SstalkerS he is playing this very beutifull. so whats the problem? :$

  • @mitchellDui He is, just my guitar teacher has given me the notes for this piece, and it says Andante there...

  • thank you jeff for sharing this wonderfull spanish ballad

  • @bougnoule100 You're very welcome!

  • heart moving

  • @54jords Thank you!

  • I've practised this till the skin on my fingers turned red and can manage both parts. The song sounds amazing and I love playing it. Too bad I can't play the bass part at the same time...

  • @EpicUltraKingSmizzy Cool. Just add the bass part very slowly, the part you've figured out is the hard part in my opinion. The bass part won't be hard to add to it.

  • I'm having my guitar lesson right now.

oh, btw, I'm 15 year old right now. back to the topic ...

I just started last November 2010, until now.

and I'm currently practicing this piece for my recital on Summer.

    this piece is very nice.

and for now as a beginner, I'm having some difficulties on the second part or the piece.

but I know I can also play this like what you did :))

  • @bomie21 Cool. Yes, this is a great piece to get started on in classical guitar. I've been playing a long time and this is still my favorite classical guitar piece. Good luck on the recital. My only advice would be to always play just a bit slower than you feel you can. Slow it down just a little bit and work on control. Playing too fast feels good to the performer but usually sounds rushed to the listener.

  • my favorite classical piece

  • @tbmst2 Mine too!

  • @jeffwahlguitar I think everyone loves this song.Its amazing!

  • Pretty awesome! Keep it up ;)

  • @stylepimp07 Thank you!

  • hypnotizing..

    amazing playing.

  • @mcjordan015 Thank you. That is a very nice compliment.

  • The right name of this song is "Anonymous romance" in spanish " Romance anónimo"

  • @Luiskuen666 Wow. I didn't know that. So many names for this song.

  • Your tempo is absolutely perfect. Extremely beautifully done. Thank you for sharing your talents with others.

  • @mewsigal Thank you very much.

  • You should do a tutorial (lessons) on how to play this, it's amazing, and i'd love to learn this. (:

  • You should do a tutorial (lessons) on how to play this, it's amazing, and i'd love to learn this. (:

  • @BabiiTerrii94 That would be a good idea. A lot of people seem to want to learn this piece.

  • what is the tunning for this song?

  • @sprawlNbrawl87 This is in standard tuning. You can find a tab online for free. Just google spanish ballad tab.

  • This is beautiful! I am a classical guitar student of 5 years and understand how hard it is to get that perfect tone. The notes are not the hard thing for this song, it's all tone that needs to be caught...you caught it perfectly! Well done!

  • @the7neupeople It's not hard to get every perfect tone..it's hard to bring feelings within!

  • @UnaaMunaa Yes, that's right. The tone is more important than the speed of the flashiness. One note, played slowly, with good tone is superior to a million notes played very fast with poor tone, in my opinion

  • @the7neupeople Yep. It's all about tone. 100%. You're right.

  • I love this song, and the way you play it is amazing, but a band sampled it (i think it's metallica but i can't quite remember) does anyone know which song it features in?

  • have listened to this hundreds of of times since i first came across it as backing music for "what if we - one minute shift" and every time its pure magic - goes straight to my soul. just love your gift. frayakate

  • @frayakate Wow. Thank you so much. Jeff

  • Outstanding! What a beautiful recording also! Jimij~

  • @flewincnowokayx12 Thank you very much.

  • Outstanding!

    I felt that

    Thank you

  • @myblueroad Cool. You're welcome, and thank you!

  • super romantic music!!!

  • @valentina656v Yes indeed.

  • Transcendental, it's hard not to dream or gaze a 1000 yards away and into your lover's eyes when you hear this...

  • @garygoodbloke What a great compliment. Thank you so much. That's really great.

  • You make it look so easy. Beautiful!

  • @BrendanMurrayJubana Thank you. I've been playing this one a long time. Thanks again.

  • ufff m la estan ensenando y ya CASI la sako... ^^ muy bn♥

  • @sakuraXXsasuke4ever O.K. I don't understand that, but it sounds good.

  • just started learning it today. mine is not nearly as fast

  • @ABoren1 Speed isn't necessary for this song to be nice, just put your feelings into it.

  • seriously beautiful!

  • @WayTooManyPuppies Thank you so much!

    Jeff

  • fantastica melodia

  • @heroeporsiempre Muchas gracias!

  • master piece

  • @heroeporsiempre Why thank you!

    Jeff

  • I can play this song 3x faster

  • @soccervids1209 get you. doesnt matter if its 10 times as fast if its got no feeling id rather listen to a cat play it.

  • Love this piece and upon listenign to your other songs really enjoy listening to you. The only thing i dont like is i find the song is slightly too fast but it might just be me

  • @BenAbram12 Thank you. I guess I could have played it a little slower. It's more expressive the slower that it's played.

    Jeff

  • One other thing i have just noticed when you play what i would call the second part (the part with all the barre chords in) i noticed you played a open sixth string on the second chard. i have seen many versions of this (open sixth string, open fifth string) but on the actual music it is sixth string fretted at the 2nd thus causing a barre chord on it. Otherwise it just dosent seem to sound quite right.

    Sorry for being critical.

  • @BenAbram12 The sheet music I learned it from has the open A for that second chord in the B section. But, the F# works there for a root too. I just tried that. It does sound cooler and more exotic with the F#.

  • I am going to use this song to ride my horse on in a show.. if that is ok with you? This is just one of the softest feels i have heard in a long time. Thank you so much for the moment of "hearing" the music :)

  • That's great. What a neat use of this music. Sounds great. Thank you.

    Jeff

  • thats hot

  • Thank you.

    Jeff

  • muy linda

  • Muchas gracias.

    jeff

  • ... se l'incanto fosse musica, sarebbe QUESTA!

Complimenti Jeff, tutte le stelle del cielo per te * * * * *

    Stella

  • Thank you. Graci or Gracias.

    Jeff

  • This is great!

    you should play maleguena

  • I do get asked for that one a lot. I should learn it.

    Jeff

  • i believe this is my favorite so far. and thats sayin something because i liked it all

  • Thank you so much.

    Jeff

  • Jeff this is one of the best cover of this song.....but you only have 355 WHY....: the problem is the title:

    "spanish romance"

    "Jeux interdits" AKA "Romance"

at least here in your video change the title

It is my opinion.... and Jeff i am spanish and i love your cover.

  • Thank you. I should add those other titles for this piece to the tags on this video. Good suggestion.

    Jeff

  • Thanks for th ereply Jeff. I started learning classical about 2 years ago at the age of 66. It's never too late to learn they say. I play an abreviated version of this piece. I play the parts I can reach! The tempo is easy for me too. I am really enjoying my journey into the world of music making .

  • Lovely piece done well!

  • Thank you so much.

    Jeff

  • very nice

  • Thank you.

    Jeff
