@pfl95 Red Cliffs is already on the list. I don't know if any of al-Walid's battles in particular are on the list but Nahāvand & Al-Qādisiyyah are both Rashidun Caliphate victories on the list. I'm looking into the battle of Julu now.
@helcio1960 What cave would you be living in, what language would you be grunting, what disease would kill you by 30 without war? Hellenism, which made Western civilization possible, came about through warfare. The Internet was developed by the military. Countries as they exist today, the very mindset you have, was made possible by war. War has shaped history. War,& the technological innovation it made possible, created what has actually been a rather peaceful time in history (the present).
If you look @the list of battles &see them in their proper context you will understand these are pivotal moments in history. The very identity of the Japanese people wouldn't exist without the Mongol invasions. Slavery would never have ended in the West without battles like Yorktown &Gettysburg. The USA helps more people in poverty than every other country combined. How many millions would die today without the wars that founded and forged America?
You should expand your perspective & show more respect for history instead of pretending like you can create yourself by projecting your 21st century postmodern beliefs into a mythological past that never existed.
Well, you probably have Gallipoli, from WWI. There was a battle in New Mexico, called Glorietta. It wasn't quite a BIG battle, but it was important. Look it up, its one of the reasons the Union won the Civil War.
@Jabbabob Yeah, it's one of the reasons the Union won, but there thousands of reasons, and that one battle wasn't reason enough for inclusion on the list. It's not the same caliber as Tarain or Kursk or Tenochtitlán.
hmmm, watch my videos of battles I made, and tell me what u think. I would say, that the battle at Gvozdansko is one of the best battles i've ever heard, like American Alamo, or Jewish Masada
@krscanin1 Your video (and a wikipedia page that parrots it pretty closely) are the only information on that battle I can find. There would be no way I could turn it into a video. Sorry.
One underrated battle that I think should make the top 100 battles is the Battle of Sakarya in 1921. It forged a nation, was the end of the imperialistic reach after WW1, and had it gone the other way the world, the balkans, caucasia and the middle east would be in a different state today....
You probably dont want anymore World War 2 suggestions but have you included Midway or Iwo Jima? I think that Iwo Jima is more or less a siege but I dont know. I'd like to hear your opinion about it.
@wpaxton Do you have Custers Last Stand? I think its significant because it shows that Custer was a dumbass. I'm sure you already have this but what about the Battle of Argone Forest? And for ancient battles how about Salamis and Pharsalus? Do you have the Battle of Hastings or The Battle of Agincourt. I'm not even British and I find those two somewhat significant or amazing.
@mrIhaveamuffin You can go to The Urban Mystic (link in description) to get a full list. Agincourt, Hastings, Pharsalus, and Salamis are already on the list.
Custer's Last Stand was really just a throw away. It could serve as a nice cultural story but as a battle it rots and didn't change anything.
I think I definitely may possibly want to include something from the end of WWI. I'm not sure if the later battles actually had a significant effect on bringing about the end of the war or if it was just a matter of who backed off first. There were a lot of opportunities for victory that Germany just threw away. It might not be that the Allies won just that the Germans were stupid and chose to surrender. The end of the war is this big thing that really stumped me for the past 8 years.
Cannae, Marathon, and Waterloo are on the list, Stalingrad is a seige and it's over a year long and there's no way one or even five videos could cover it, and the Bulge and Thermopylae aren't really significant battles, but thanks for the suggestions.
@maccoat Thermopylae was a nice little, symbolic, speed bump of a battle that has more than its fair share of attention in documentaries and entertainment. Greece was saved at Salamis and Plataea.
I can't find Basulwine in my books or on the internet. I don't think it exists, and if it does it's certainly not important enough to be one of the 100 "Greatest" Battles.
I already have four battles from the Revolutionary War and four from the Civil War. With Korea and Veitnam untouched and two world wars skimmed through, I have no more room for battles in the Eastern United States.
If you want to be realistic look up the list of the bloodiest battles in history. Like 15 out of the top twenty were between Germany and Russia in WWII a front that is often overlooked. good luck.
Most of those battles are very long and would take more than one video to summarize. I passed up five or six large battles because they were sieges. I do have the Battle of Kursk on the list, the turning point of WWII, and am thinking of putting the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople.
full of western victories. i am a turk. i am not stupid. estern people have always lost against east and muslim. but here you see only western victories. i feel for you people.
Enough for you? If not I've got more Mongol and Chinese victories. Roughly a third of the battles so far are won by eastern powers, and I've got a whole list of Indian battles that haven't made the list yet that are also eastern victories.
@AVTTV Thank you for your suggestion. I already have four battles in northeast France & I'm looking to get away from that area. Check the link in the description for a full list of battles and a map of where they are located.
Yea but a good trailer..and it's good..why not make a longer video..Your good at it....you'll be better for it....you don't have to do all battles...something else creative
like more greek battles and roman battles not sure of the names of the battles theres all battle from the100 year war that was pretty big theres a lot i could name.

Some battles that ...
Some battles that ..
All battles are stupid a disgrace to the human race!
And every reason in the world are not enough to justify these atrocities!
There is still incredible human beings who idolize these moments of nastiness.
What is the most hateful, the lowest level of human behavior.
