The angle at 0:19 proves it as well. You see the white extending part of the register, as if the camera is behind that white thing and slightly higher than it. But at 0:05, you can see the whole area and there's nothing behind that white thing on the register that's higher.

I always question shows like these, because it's easier for them to higher actors than risk uncooperative people and lawsuits.

What I mean by uncooperative people, is if this guy finds out he was filmed, and doesn't sign the release forms to be on tv, then they have to shoot the whole scene over with some other unsuspecting person. Plus, someone could sue them saying that they were emotionally embarrassed by having a joke played on them. They know the tv networks have lots of money. I see ads like this in Los Angeles all the time, for paid actors to fill in on "reality shows".

@OpinionatedJerk That's what release forms, and pickup shots are for. After the scene is filmed they tellt he people what's going on and ask them to sign a release. As for the close up on the magazine, that was probably filmed after everything was done so they can have a few different angles.
