would have been better to buy an escort cossie motor and rebuild it, there are loads out there, anything from 250 - 400 bhp..., a friend of mine bought a stage2 tuned f series for 1800 sterling and spent about another grand making it fit..320 bhp at the wheels, goes like stink :)

I have spent $45,000.00 AUS over six years. The duratec conversion is approx $12,000.00 AUS but getting cheaper as engines become more available. Cutting edge now is to go Duratec 2.5 in the 2009/10 Mazda 3 and 6.
