All respects but the from the final comparison of two photos, her modern image has a far more noticeable nose cone her hands are in a different position. After death human body will be very solid, every soft tissue becomes solid, how did they reconfigure the fingers without breaking them? Is the rest of the body also preserved like the face and the hands?

God himself said in ¨Matthew 22:32 He is not God of the dead, but of the living." And in the bible it says that Moses and Elijah appeared on either side of Jesus, "Matthew 17:3 And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with Him." Proving the saints are alive in Christ.

Viewing the image of St Bernadettes hands holding the Rosary, was a feeling of undescribable joy, peace, and humbleness.. I could only imagine how many she made the sign of the cross. Beautiful!

@steeplepossum39 I suspect that the people who do not like this sort of thing are afraid. They're afraid that if this miracle were true, and if there is indeed a God, then it has implications on their life---meaning that the way they have been leading their life will have to change--to change in light of the fact that God has a claim on them. This frightens them.

I feel that this Holy woman's devotion to the risen Christ is evident in the incorruptibly of her physical body, and the position of her hands (in prayer ) is a witness for us all that we should always keep the candle burning, waiting for the" bridegroom"who comes at an hour that we do not expect....If Christ can raise up a 4 day stinking corpse for His glory,(Lazaurus )then why are we disbelieving that it is beyond Him to perform such a miracle....I say glory to God!

@mrbreez33 for regarding this event , to the believer no sign is needed ...but when something extra ordinary occurs the believer sees it as a miracle.
I think with respect brother,Jesus in the scripture you quoted is speaking about "the sign" the sign of Jonah who 3 days was in the belly of the whale...Jesus was in the belly of the death and 3 days later (like Jonah) resurrected ..why dont you quote the entire scripture and it's context? :>)

@mrbreez33 Indeed we will return again to dust...but if God desires to "keep" someone's flesh intact for reason of marvel and wonder because of the person's closeness to the incorruptible Christ then what can we say against it?
From dust to dust yes..but what of Elijah? did he see corruption? or has God in his infinite wisdom allowed him not to for reasons which are beyond us....there are through 2000 year Christian history many such instances... :>)

@eraser695 lm agnostic so i wont beleive anything unless supported by fact and rigourous scientific study in this case it is a interesting phenomenon, unfortunatly the church wont allow scientific investigation,
and i dont think that would be ethicly right anyway, she was a wonderful human being, and may she rest in peace, but i find it quite disturbing the fact that the church have put her on display like this, and covered her in wax, to send out a message wich refect the church doctrine,

If you want to honor the memory of the saints the best thing we can all do is spend 5 mins in our local parish & spend some time with the 2nd person of the divine Trinity, the one who took on flesh & died for us.
The Lord Jesus is with us, right here! let us spend some time with him to-day, never has there being a more urgent time when we all must help our local parish, may God help us to overcome our egos & do just that.
May the Holy Sacrament be praised & adored forever, Ave Maria.

My Grandfather was miraculously cured at Lourdes in 1918 after being shot in the head with a rifle by a German soldier at close range at the battle of Belleau Wood in France during World War I. He fully recovered and lived to be 89 years old. I truly believe in Lourdes. It is real!!!

All respects but the from the final comparison of two photos, her modern image has a far more noticeable nose cone her hands are in a different position. After death human body will be very solid, every soft tissue becomes solid, how did they reconfigure the fingers without breaking them? Is the rest of the body also preserved like the face and the hands?

@amirali23 Actually not only her skin but also the Internal Organs are well preserved. But her tissues are not hardening. Its really amazing. But if it would be mummification then her eyes cannot be the same after 200 years. But still her eyeballs are visible.

this we can´t know...but i know, i mean i have heard when i have been in Lourdes and at nivers, that her body is still flexible and soft, like if it was still alive...something of unexplaineble, and when they have dig up her after ten years, she was still so...we cant give always an explanaition...or you belive or not...by the way who knows...see also a lot other saints are so, or if you think about the stigmates of Padre Pio...the rest of the body is still perfect..also inside
