I always wonder why Alan didn't take Van Pelt's gun or try to destroy it. It would make things easier... for the time Van Pelt would magically find second rifle or get one from Slick xP

He did get it in episode 6 and it was destroyed, but I guess Jumanji either replaced it or he has more than one gun.

He don't reload it [not counting fitst episode, when he had reload after each 2 shots] and don't aim his gun xP
