  • you can download a free tutorial line weights on autonomousdesign store.

  • nothing special =( a lot of mistakes in perspective and the same mistake with the angle of the rear wheel everywere + the distance between the wheels is about 2 wheels which is bad. should i add that design is old?

  • Turned it up really loud coz i couldnt hear anything...that music at the end scared me shitless, great sketches aswell.

  • how old are you, i mean do you do this as a job or just a passion? just wondering and i like your car sketches

  • just wondering how old are you? like do u have car designing as your job or just a passion..please reply

  • nice job!

  • This is so cooooooooool!!!!!!!!! Keep making more video's!!!!! You ROCK!!!

  • Brilliant rendering and style.

  • nice job for first stage of sketching.

to all haters out there , this is not a " final car rendering" video :)

and to all beginners watching this tutorial..start drawing @ dina2 with ballpoint and without ruler , if ya wanna practice :DD

  • back pack back pack!!!

  • those cars are like a person with its head to big for its body

  • @moneymn9 Sorry, I must have missed your video. Obviously you can do a better job if that's your response. So... Where's yours?

  • very good! can you say me the name of your using pen?

  • pen won't make your car better :D

use any pen, graffit is the best for starting, with ink pen it is harder to make (I always draw shadows) so it is harder but possible, if you make on big big paper it is joy to make with markers.

also airbrush is super for coloring

  • there good in cartoon terms but there a little off relisticly :/ but really cool just not relistic

  • links don't work

  • Holy Hell in a Hand Basket! these are good!

  • the way you've drawn it is nice, but the looks of the car are but

  • omg my car designs arnt as good as these besides their all nissan haha is their a way to make them on the computer???

  • I wish I could become a car designer 2. What are the qualifications to becoming a car designer?

  • same 2 u but i dont know! maybe u presented a unique design 2 a company and they want 2 use it. and you hire. maybe! or aply personaly. what nationality are you. wish 2 see you soon

  • Study Industrial Design

  • Yeah, it's my dream too :D

I guess you need to take a course at some established school - then you'll see.

  • i want 2 become a car designer some day im a filipino hoping will be

  • RS358

ure a nob at least hes trying

  • you made that look easy.

  • SICK!!!

  • no offense or anything i wanna be a car designer badly just like all of u but i have couple questions:

do Asians have disadvantage in the automotive design industry

what is the average salary ?

like i said before no offense i know if its ur dream u shouldnt care but still wanna be financially independent cuz i come from a middle income family...

  • I'm Asian, but I'd like to answer your question. No Asians don't have an advantage. You need to be able to interpret in quite a few languages seeing the Industrial Design Industry is International. The average salary (by my guess you've already looked it up) is about $60,000 in the US. As you progress the sky is pretty much the limit.

  • a vietnamese guy designed the 2005 Ford Mustang

  • All my life I wanted to become a car designer! I've been drawing and designing cars ever since I was 6 years old. I hope I become a car designer when I get older.... it just looks SO COOL!

  • hope u make ur dream come tru

  • thank you very much buddy :)

  • nice i have the same dream as u hope ur come tru

  • hey man thanks, but i have respect for your dream just as much as you do for mine. I hope the best outcome turn out for both of our dreams! :)

  • i want to be a car designer too. im only 17now. i draw cars like every day, usualy designs from my head

  • Same here! I always start from scratch and I don't work with other car models. I just make up my own! :)

  • do u draw side view or 45 degree

  • I mostly did side view but im trying to draw on an angle now these days....cause its more sophisticated.... But im more profesional with my side view drawings.

  • same 2 you but im confuse of my design i dont think its good

  • Hey now the whole point of experience, is by learning by your own mistakes. It's up to YOU to decide whether or not you like your design. If you have already completed your design and you think it isn't good, then take that one piece, and work up with it. That's all about designing! Now I thought you did pretty well. If you don't think it was good, then try it again by using your knowledge on experience :)

  • blahh those cars arent good, i drew like that like 2 years ago, and with a pen?? even a basic pencil is better than that :( thats not cool

  • ahahaha, are u serious? i checked ur works and they are not even half, no wait, not even one-quarter good as these are.

  • lol, just checked out your sketches too...I drew like that when I was like 8 years old. I mean if your gonna flat out lie about your skills maybe you should take down your work so no one can actually see that you really need to improve. I mean there is nothing wrong with that...just the lying part.

  • well first of all the recording and picture taking is with a cheap webcam, and second of all, i have a different style and also the perspective is no good, the wheels are too big, and you will say no but its supposed to be like that, but you have not seen my newest sketches, and its very nice to draw cars, ive been doing it for a while, but do you have diversity in what you draw?

and my sketches are good and when you are 8 you cant draw like that, and im just 13 anyway

  • yeah and ur a nob as well

  • Yeah I just checked your videos as well, your sketching isn't that bad but your shading etc is pretty average...

  • yep- spend less time shading your drawings and learn a bit about proportion, perspective and line weight

    your work is quite amature

  • im at coventry uni studying automotive design and it is highly recommended u use a ball piont pen. not a pencil like in your sketches. plus these sketches are far better than yours.

  • these sketches aren't good. is this a student?

  • yea the cars is just awsome!! i'm laffin cuz in the middle of the vid u here 'Dora The Explorer' team song out of no where.. XD!

  • is there any software for designing cars

  • Yes. Its called "myCreativity". Develop by God :D

  • Thanks

  • looks for stuff like Alias and Rhino, they are what professional designers use, extremely expensive though

  • where do i learn the basics of car design/sketching? i am an engineer with a passion for drawing, and some beginner talent. i bought the fantastic book Design Sketching, but feel that i need a more beginner tutorial

  • is it possible to draw half or maybe he full Batmobile :-)

  • y u didn't use music in ur video?

  • STUPENDO!

    Compliementi

  • se mas original, el primer auto lo basas en un Lamborghini Gallardo y el segundo en un Audi R8

  • hey, got a question...

why do u use pen rather then pencil?

  • I use pencil as well. It is only when I want to use marker over it that I use ballpoint pen, since pencil lines smudge the marker. Also, most of the time I have a pan with me, for a pencil I would also have top carry a sharpener.

If need be, I can post a special on pencil sketches.

  • cool and could you make a vid on how to draw a car frame because i'm not really good at drawing car frames

  • Can u post on with Shoe desing cause im tryin to desing a shoe

  • seriously?

  • a cheap mechanical pencil all the way...don't need a sharpener, crisp clean lines, and great for shading, plus one of those kneaded erasers.

  • pencil is rather unprofessional in the car design world, as well, they give both crisp lines and deep value.

And to dutchy, nice sketches, but you really need to work on ur proportions - all of them look like hot wheels cars

  • That first coupe was really muscular and had real presence. Your eye is good. Why do we love to design coupes although nobody but freaks like us buys them? People in Germany buy vans like the VW Touran - really boring! When they could have had an Audi TT.

  • what do they call that paper?

  • fuckin shit head

  • ey mother fucker why doesnt your mum die fucker this is just all bullcrap and fake dont belive these stuff

  • Shut up asshole!

  • cool thats nice

  • ur perspective is off and you have no difference in line wheight.the ellipses in the last sketch need more work.but it's all about practice

  • i hear dora backpack song o.o

  • Very good & Very Cool...Good luck..whit the car Desing...I like this job too...:)

  • hey i like that its awsum:P teach me to shade im still practicing

  • Let me know what you need. Look at the Car Design TV link and send me an e-mail, and I will see what I can do.

  • really good

  • Great!!

    Really good!

  • i think you just need to practice im not talking to dutchy4c or anyone really but i was prity good at drawing cars if i may say so myself but i left it for a while because of studies and stuff and ive kind off lost my touch im gona start pacticing again though

  • OHHH MYYYY GOOOOOD. Love you!

  • Actually, when I was at college we were not "taught" as expected. We rather just had to do it, and make sure we could stand up against our classmates.. That's the kind of pressure that makes or breaks you. I am sure though, if you are keen, passionate and have talent, you can sketch like this without any "schooling". The schooling is for the development of these sketches into something substantial.

  • man, that is a pretty good job 5/5

  • hey could u add me, tis on my profile. im a good drawer but not at the veiwpoints u do

  • Reminds me of Herald Belker's videos on GnomonWorkshop

  • did you used a normal ballpointpen?

  • yes, I prefer ballpoint pens with a finer tip, and if possible ones that don't leave these ink blobs.., but that's it.. Simple BICs will do...

  • hi there i love designing car cars and i want to become an car designer is there any tips that you can help me with thanks

    danny

  • talk with me too man! i need more tips than anyone else jejejejejej

  • Hey! Great job!

I´m praticing how to draw cars and I study product design here in Brazil, do you have MSN or email so we can talk more? I could really use some tips!
