@AustRD - It's not always safe, but the lines are only a guide and are based around cars with your avg amount of go. In my slow ute most broken lines are too short. On the bike some broken lines have since had trees grow to impede view and you'd be mad to pass. From the videos position, it looked like the 1st one was a little close to the corner but then I don't have the perspective of the rider and the nature of the corner. The 2nd rider was perfectly safe.

Those overtaking maneuvres were perfectly safe ones. In fact, up until November 09 they were also perfectly legal. But the change of one regulation put paid to that.

If only the cops spent as much time taking rusted bucket of shit cars off the road or a few drug fucked idiots out of society... or perhaps even busting the odd cager talking on a mobile phone while driving past a school zone. Nah.. too hard. Much easier to hide in the bushes singling out a few bikers that 'technically' broke the law. I'm glad i live in WA. Your cops and legal system are fucked over there.

Those overtaking maneuvres were perfectly safe ones. In fact, up until November 09 they were also perfectly legal. But the change of one regulation put paid to that.
As for the holier-than-thou types who praise this sort of thing, don't go bleating to anyone when you're caught breaking the law. No-one's gonna listen.

If people actually did the speed limit on these roads then bikers wouldn't have to overtake so much. It's more dangerous for a rider to sit behind that car and get more frustrated over a few k's and then make a dangerous overtaking pass on a blind corner instead of passing safely as seen in this video. Between nitwit 4WD bullbar man and nitwit guy on R1 with slicks and Puma sneakers, there's a lot of decent folk. What happened to decent traffic Police with discretion? Get some backbone.
