Wonderful! I can't wait to get my Blendtec and I will definitely be whipping up some dairy-free ice milks like the one you demonstrated. So simple...wow!
@joijoi242 Ohhh ok. Yeah I know they are expensive. I heave heard about it being at Cosco too but they told me you have to be a member and pay $50 for membership. I didnt' want to do that as I don't get to go there (too far from my house). Anyway thank you!!! I will check out Amazon.
I love your tutorials! I'm getting some great ideas from them :D
Quick question though: do you use the blender with a 4in. blade, or the slightly smaller one?
I'm debating if I want to get the more expensive and larger one (for about $50 more) or the smaller one... The 4inch blade is supposed to be more efficient, but it would be nice to hear from someone with 'blendtec' experience :D
Thank you so much for your response!! Can't wait for more videos to come!! <3
You could have used more ice for thicker ice cream. Yours looked a little weak/runny. And instead of sugar, you can also use Stevia (in liquid form) or Raw Blue Agave. Excellent for your health overall!
@KakashiFTWHatake It's been a long time since I've made ice cream. We had a *very* mild summer here in Southern California (sorry to the rest of the country!) so ice cream didn't come to mind.
Anyway, I seem to recall that it made it rather smooth. (Does "rough blitz" mean it leaves biggish chunks of ice?)
I have the newer version with the carafe that is 96 oz and has the 4'' blade. The new design on the "wildside" carafes makes it so you don't have to shake them at all.
Chuckerbert666-thanks for the demo! I bought the Blendtec for my green smoothies and totally glossed over the "Ice Cream" button. The ice cream in your demo looks yummy and I'll make that for the family. But please for your own health can you stop using sugar? Since you have the Blendtec you can put in fresh dates for sweetness...or honey or maple syrup. Sugar is SO bad for you.
Vita Mix reccomends on ALL blender jars regardless of what Brand you have, that after rinsing the Jar turn it upside down , as this helps prolong the seal and bearings
@CoolasIce2 - it's obvious from reading your postings on different videos that you're some sort of vitamix shill that doesn't actually own a blendtec or actually know what you're talking about.
NIce. Looks healthy and creative; seems like you could mix some ingredients to get different flavors. Your clip also shows how versatile the blender can be.
@Chuckbert666 Good for you. When you have to replace the larger carafe because the seal leaks fluid into the ball bearings, you'll have to spend more. Bravo.
This is the first time ive seen a BlendTec blender actually blend food.

@joijoi242 Where did you buy your blendtec?
potterylady1 5 months ago
@potterylady1 I haven't gotten it yet. They're pretty pricey. They're available on Amazon and I've heard that people have gotten them at Costco.

@KakashiFTWHatake I would hardly call that ice cream. More like a slushie served in a bowl.

i like vita mix better !
sn9696 2 years ago
Vita mix makes damn good blenders. Their jars rarely leak out of the bottom seal like the Blendtec's older model did.

i just bought the vita prep 3 !! Great blender,it better be for $500 ! lol.

You shook the blender...
TinyWeyant1989 3 years ago
Well, yeah, I know. The annotation at the point I shook it says "DON'T SHAKE THE BLENDER Stop it and stir it down!"
Did you turn off the annotations?
Chuckbert666 3 years ago
He meant that if you telling us to not shake it why did you shake it?
Spalding1250 3 years ago
Because it was new and I shook it. The annotation is telling people NOT to do what I did. It was a big "OOPS"!
I made this for fun to show off my new machine and didn't feel the need to reshoot it. Life is too short to be serious.
