  • This is the first time ive seen a BlendTec blender actually blend food.

  • @gargantuan101 Blueberry smoke! Don't breathe this!

  • @Chuckbert666 Overused comment! Don't read this!

  • think i'll buy one looks yummy

  • Lady, that is a smoothie, not ice cream.

  • nodoubt i just got my wildside and about to open up a juice bar out here in N.Y peace cool vid and good looking icecream.

  • Simple ice cream recipe

    4 eggs

    3 tablespoons of vanilla

    2 cups of sugar

1 half gallon of half and half

    NO ICE

  • Ice cream is not made with ice.

  • Wonderful! I can't wait to get my Blendtec and I will definitely be whipping up some dairy-free ice milks like the one you demonstrated. So simple...wow!

  • @joijoi242 Where did you buy your blendtec?

  • @potterylady1 I haven't gotten it yet. They're pretty pricey. They're available on Amazon and I've heard that people have gotten them at Costco.

  • @joijoi242 Ohhh ok. Yeah I know they are expensive. I heave heard about it being at Cosco too but they told me you have to be a member and pay $50 for membership. I didnt' want to do that as I don't get to go there (too far from my house). Anyway thank you!!! I will check out Amazon.

  • I love your tutorials! I'm getting some great ideas from them :D

Quick question though: do you use the blender with a 4in. blade, or the slightly smaller one?

I'm debating if I want to get the more expensive and larger one (for about $50 more) or the smaller one... The 4inch blade is supposed to be more efficient, but it would be nice to hear from someone with 'blendtec' experience :D

Thank you so much for your response!! Can't wait for more videos to come!! <3

  • You could have used more ice for thicker ice cream. Yours looked a little weak/runny. And instead of sugar, you can also use Stevia (in liquid form) or Raw Blue Agave. Excellent for your health overall!

  • less ice would make it thicker,,, ice is water duh

  • I wish a blendtec blender was my father.

  • does the ice cream button just give it a rough blitz?

  • @KakashiFTWHatake It's been a long time since I've made ice cream. We had a *very* mild summer here in Southern California (sorry to the rest of the country!) so ice cream didn't come to mind.

Anyway, I seem to recall that it made it rather smooth. (Does "rough blitz" mean it leaves biggish chunks of ice?)

  • @Chuckbert666 yeah pretty much

  • @Chuckbert666 yeah it does mean biggish chunks of ice!

  • @KakashiFTWHatake I would hardly call that ice cream. More like a slushie served in a bowl.

  • I have the newer version with the carafe that is 96 oz and has the 4'' blade. The new design on the "wildside" carafes makes it so you don't have to shake them at all.

  • Chuckerbert666-thanks for the demo! I bought the Blendtec for my green smoothies and totally glossed over the "Ice Cream" button. The ice cream in your demo looks yummy and I'll make that for the family. But please for your own health can you stop using sugar? Since you have the Blendtec you can put in fresh dates for sweetness...or honey or maple syrup. Sugar is SO bad for you.

  • Blueberry ice cream smoke,........... Don't breathe this.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmm

  • haha, i tried making a smoothie, and i made frozen yogurt..... it's not really icecream, but what's the point, it's still sooo sooo good :P

  • i like vita mix better !

  • Vita mix makes damn good blenders. Their jars rarely leak out of the bottom seal like the Blendtec's older model did.

  • i just bought the vita prep 3 !! Great blender,it better be for $500 ! lol.

  • @CoolasIce2

Vita Mix reccomends on ALL blender jars regardless of what Brand you have, that after rinsing the Jar turn it upside down , as this helps prolong the seal and bearings

  • @CoolasIce2 - it's obvious from reading your postings on different videos that you're some sort of vitamix shill that doesn't actually own a blendtec or actually know what you're talking about.

  • omg i need one of thoose but i have this horrible notion in my head for fear of my hand being gridded all the way up to my shoulder XD

  • Don't breathe this.

  • ROFL.

  • Oh, well. I wonder which of the ingredients taste bad. It tasted good to me.

  • me to wow you thik that to

  • @ripcruel Try regular milk instead.

  • try those same ingredients and press the soup button. Won't turn out so great :P

  • NIce. Looks healthy and creative; seems like you could mix some ingredients to get different flavors. Your clip also shows how versatile the blender can be.

  • You shook the blender...

  • Well, yeah, I know. The annotation at the point I shook it says "DON'T SHAKE THE BLENDER Stop it and stir it down!"

Did you turn off the annotations?

  • He meant that if you telling us to not shake it why did you shake it?

  • Because it was new and I shook it. The annotation is telling people NOT to do what I did. It was a big "OOPS"!

I made this for fun to show off my new machine and didn't feel the need to reshoot it. Life is too short to be serious.

  • LoL true, but I hate it when the sprocket jams

  • @Chuckbert666 Good for you. When you have to replace the larger carafe because the seal leaks fluid into the ball bearings, you'll have to spend more. Bravo.

  • yummy!!!!

  • Sweet
