@tomimn2233 i think they'll create an indonesian/malay character in the next tekken series after 7 or 8, or so I've heard. they'll also make a filipino character for kali/escrima martial art, an offshoot of silat.

- because tekken developer (especially japan people) never heard silat.

- Its movements (jurus) doesnt seem a martial arts movement. It look like a dance.

@hummdee6 historys strongest diciple is a japanese manga where they've mentioned pencak silat a fair amount of times , even now in the story miu is kidnapped by a master of that style

martial arts and dance have alot in common in movment , not to mention xiao yu , eddy gordo ?!

it's true that HSD Kenichi has an antagonist figure, a silat master.,

But the fact is, many Japanese more attracted by the hard type martial arts..so Pencak Silat - which is dominate by soft style - is not enthused by them.

many silat practicioners in japan are women.. which they see is the beauty of its movements rather than the effectiveness of its technics.

The softness of Silat (maybe) can compared to Taichi. But why There's no taichi master in tekken..
