  • do gooder wimps and idiots!!!!!!!!!!1

  • I will start working for amnesty international this monday :) I'm only 18 years old and I have worked for WWF for a year and now I want to do my bit for Amnesty international. I just want to make a difference in this world, I want to help animals and people around the world. My part for the people starts monday :)

  • @MrDothebadthing are you for real?

  • MY SCHOOL HAS A CHAPTER OF THIS!

  • guys do they support ppl with far of human torture like family and individuals ??? do they against public clashes and crimes as well pls kindy send me reply back on adilpk26@yahoo.com thanks.

  • @ultradumbass ....says "ultradumbass", named as such for a reason.

  • @alicaurusrex lol you got such a great comeback. it is funny how many people have actually used that on me, and it is no surprise i have yet to be offended by someone using such a pitiful attempt at insulting me. how is your progress on making abortion legal going? last i read you're little friends at amnesty international have been attacking many south american nations claiming they will be human rights violators if they don't allow abortion to be legal. too bad the unborn have no rights eh?

  • @ultradumbass You can't expect anything else with that hate-comment you made. In other words people don't comment like that mainly because of your name but because of your comments. Legalizing womens right for abortion is definately not the mainthing Amnesty is doing but still important for womens rights because usually those same countries lack also in other aspects of social development. Altough abortion in any case is debatable which I agree. Don't be so black-white sighted.

  • @JuTuubi i can't support an organisation that supports abortion. i almost never eat meat since i oppose killing animals and i feel sad if i kill living bugs. amnesty has even gone so far as to threaten to consider a country a human rights violator if they deny women the right to abort. just as amnesty has been brainwashing people into thinking religion is bad. religion has done more good than bad but of course atheists whose ussr killed much more will tell otherwise.

  • @JuTuubi and obviously my comment was a figure of speech but i think you got the message. i think i am one of few people speaking out against this. since i don't support the death penalty i'd never get around to carrying out executions.

  • @ultradumbass I support your ideals against killing. It just seems that the course of development is nowadays pro-abortion since it's pushed by liberals. As you might know there have always been two forces in society, movement and friction. Trough the history liberals have pushed the development in all aspects forward as conservatives have kept the wagon on the road. I myself am an agnostic theist but I think religions are just selfdeception since they all contradict one another.

  • @JuTuubi i believe in a god too, however whether or not we are eternal should be considered the more interesting question.

  • @ultradumbass I cant decide if i agree or disagree with your comments , i mean you good points but you seem to be showing hate in every comment you post. It's hard to agree with you if all your reply's to comment's have at least one insult to the other person.

  • @007phycokiller i have a set of rules. i only revert to insults if the person is already insulting, or is insulting others for no reason or says or does things that are harmful or intentionally mean. the second option i do is ridiculing, i use to only ridicule trolls since insulting trolls is pointless but in recent months i decided to focus more on ridiculing people with sarcasm since it takes less energy and seems more effective. so to answer your question i only hate haters:)

  • @007phycokiller you'll also notice it is ironic how many liberals are against the death penalty yet so many support abortion and eating meat. that is why when it comes to the death penalty i stay neutral unless a comment gets really biased. i don't see how keeping an inmate in prison the rest of their lives is more humane, leaving them to spend the next 40-60 years watching their life and health go by. though personally i am not for throwing away the key to every murderer either.

  • @ultradumbass Well maybe most people except for 'ultradumbass'es like you are sensible enough to care for the living people who are killed unjustly, but don't wish to take into matters a fetus or animal? DUH!!

  • @Mrfreeworld1000 so ask me this question. what's your alternative? lwop is what 99% of people will say as an alternative. ask me this how is lwop the better solution? thousands of innocent people are sentenced to life imprisonment a year and few get out, those few are usually not released until many years later and under terminal illness. you're only defence here would be to say at least you didn't execute him. so now who is the one truly lacking in compassion.

  • @ultradumbass ooops i meant to spell your on the third last line.

  • @ultradumbass So what the hell you're saying 'lets free them all or dont do this at all'? And what leads you to surmise that I'll say something some sick pathetic excuse like the one you were kind enough to mention for me? Sounds like something from a dog's ass - maybe because its from a sicko psychopath like you. I dont lack in compassion but I just lack the means to save everyone. and if you dont care about saving at least one more guy then just get outta here bro.

  • @Mrfreeworld1000 wow seems like i managed to take a nice pee on your bonfire. i take it that i win since all you just did was degrade yourself into a blabbermouth of a 3 year old. good game to you, i hope to play you again next time:)

  • @ultradumbass Oh I don't think so mr.ultradumbass;) I think you're just too blind with that petty thing you've got to stake as your pride to see how contorted and unclear your jibberish is. Sorry man but you're just too pathetic to even live. I don't even see how that last comment has got aything to defend your petty self against you hate speech against a perfectly fine organization. If you've got nothing ese to do than fuck around, just go kill yourself. that'll help us a lot. Thanks loser;)

  • @Mrfreeworld1000 i'd stick around and chat but i got better things to be doing. take care son.

  • @ultradumbass Oh just when i thought you were going to be a loser and cling on to your weird yap-yaps, suits me fine if you want to back away. Please keep your hate speeches to yerself tho it might get you back one day cheers bro

  • @Mrfreeworld1000 one kind word of advice learn to spell. alright now i am going for real. i'll let you have the last word since i think it is the biggest accomplishment you will ever make.

  • @ultradumbass Oh that is so kind of you, backing away from the initial debate because you know your ideas are half baked pieces of shit. What happened to your god-given views on Amnesty Int.? Alright I'm tired of dealing with losers like you; just please get lost now the youtube community could do without the stupidly wasted amount of space your screwed up head takes up here.

  • I'm trying to open an Amnesty International office in downtown Damascus, Syria but have not had much success. I am also trying to build a church and a synagogue there but again, without much success. I'm also trying to open a bar, a movie theatre that will play first run movies as well as independent movies and a Starbucks, but for some reason, I am not having much success. I'm just trying to model my ideal community like they have in Israel, Western Europe and the US. But I can't AI. Why?

  • Whats the name of the song ????

  • I am an Student Area Coordinator of Amnesty International in NJ. I love to watch this video everyday . It is an inspiration

  • DO A WEB SEARCH ON:

    charles h. miranda OR:

  • I though it was lol when Amnesty International thought that the death of fleeing Taliban was an evil thing and said the SAS members involved should be criminalized. Its also funny that the Taliban wouldnt hesitate to kill anyone with white skin. Yea, you liberals really did it this time. Dont get me wrong the capitalist businessmen/politicians are dickheads too, but you guys are number 2 on the list.

  • free earl

  • DEATH PENALTY, SHOT BY POLICE, SCREWED BY "JUSTICE" SYSTEM; GOVERNMENS GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER: ISRAEL, US, CHINA, IRAQ, IRAN, PAKISTAN, JAPAN, SAUDIARABIA,

  • Piece of shit Liberal organizations pushing their anti-semitic, anti-American agenda.

  • Thanks for doing my social project <33

  • Amnesty international is an international cartel run by the NWO hellbent on establishing the North American Union!

  • @abortionasiaCOCKROCK Why do you think the NWO exist. What would their purpose be? THINK ABOUT IT! It just makes no sense!

  • @abortionasiaCOCKROCK Also to prove you have no idea.... A cartel is a group of companies working together to gain monopolistic powers, normally in illegal markets. So yeah...

  • fuck amnesty international, these idiots are easily bought with a lil money, look up the sri lanka situation, they are spreading lies about human rights violations without any evidence and they were not around when terorrists were bombing innocents and now they speak about human rights???? what a JOKE!

  • Open murders by the German BND which is the renamed GESTAPO:

    Uwe Barschel(politician),Jürgen Möllemann(politician),Heiner Gehring(author),Martina Pflock(political activist),Tron (internet activist),Karl Koch(political/internet activist),Bernd Seiffert(human rights activist),Kirsten Heisig(author/judge),Fritz Bauer(persecutor of the Frankfurt Auschwitz processes),Markus Bott(human rights activist).

    See my channel.

BND snitchers are thumbing me down.Thumbs up if you want the BND stop murdering

  • i would like to see amnesty international go and free an innocent man named leanard peltier, who was brought back to the us for a crime he did not commit, wrongfully convicted, tortured in prison, and made fun of in public online (ie; by the no parole for peltier comittee) for his religion; for a crime two other indians walked free for self-defense. please contact our president, sign his position, support his legal team, push amnesty international to do the same. YOU SUCK NO-PAROLE FOR PELTIER

  • amnesty international is a Joke ...they only care for the human rights of Terrorists......I think people runing have a certain...terrorist Ideology....trying to make it Illegal to punish terrorists.....LEAVE THAT ALONE ..WHEN TERRORISTS KILL SOLDIERS IN THE MOST BRUTAL WAYS THERE IS NO HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATED.... amnesty international IS unfair

  • @undy999

"they only care for the human rights of Terrorists" ahahaha have you just watched the video? they care for the rights of violence against women, allow people who are being evicted from their homes to remain in them, allow people to seek refuge in countries where they aren't at risk of getting murdered every day.

    wow you are so intelligent.....

  • @undy999

No amnesty is not unfair, it helps the people who cant defend themselfe, who cant speek up without beeing ounished for it.

And what do you think makes a terrorist a terrorist? Yeah, the rest of the world that dont listen to them when they need to be heard. Btw terrorist in for example Afghanistan is as much terrorist as the US troops there.

If we should follow the UN regulations every american president since WWII would have been convicted of warcrimes, they are the terrorists.

  • @undy999 if amnesty international only campeigns for the rights of terroist then why hjave they been receantly campeigning to stop a woman being stoned to death for supposed adultery. seriously you clearly know nopthing about amnesty so why dont you just piss of and find the brain you are so desperatly lacking.

  • @MLK2194 Psyco...U abuse me because...I have a point......I will give a small example......WHAT HAS AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL DONE FOR KASHMIRI PANDITS (HINDUS) WHO ARE REFUGEES IN THIR OWN COUNTRY...WHY HAS AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL NOT TAKEN UP THEIR CAUSE....THEY HAVE BEEN MISTREATED BRUTALLY BY THE MUSLIMS AND ALSO BY THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT....AS THEY R NO A VOTE BANK..........IN OTHER CASES.....OF BINAYAK SEN AND ARUNDHATI ROY......THERE IS A LOT OF PROTEST.......GIVE ME AN ANSWER...MAN..LOOSER

  • @undy999 do you really exspect a charity to be able help everyone in need because if you do you are seriously niave. You shouldnt penalise them what they havnt done you should praise them for what they have, or would you rather they didnt exist at all and thousands of people are left with no human rights and no one speaking up on their behalf. You should having a go at the people responsible for this mistreatment you mention not a charity designed to do nothing but help those in need.

  • amnesty international are a bunch of pussies.

  • does anyone know the song?

  • these people have got it right

  • I wish I could volunteer!

  • I have been always your soldier , and stay one forever

  • Amnesty used to have values, now it it just spreads anti-Israel propaganda (the new anti-semitism), it even trumps its anti-Israeli credentials to rase funds in Saudi Arabia. Most of thier Irish members are Muslums or Sinn Fein (aka the political wing of the PIRA)

  • i dont think we need that here, but maybe in some of these 12th century countries, or darfur or something,

  • And what did Peter, Paul and Mary Say abdou you folks??

  • I wish they would have spoken out about swiss national Oliver Fricker sentenced to be "Flogged in Singapore.--and the thousands and thousands that that country and Malaysia beats yearly.

  • pussies,,,

  • IM JOINING

  • I would suggest that this organization works in Communist China, where Muslims and Buddhists are being massacred on a huge scale.

  • What song is playing in the background? It's kinda catchy.Someone please tell me :) <3

  • –noun

    1. a general pardon for offenses, esp. political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction.

    2. Law . an act of forgiveness for past offenses, esp. to a class of persons as a whole.

    3. a forgetting or overlooking of any past offense.

    –verb (used with object)

    4. to grant amnesty to; pardon. This is disgusting

  • I think Amnesty International is a great charity! The work they do is brilliant, it helps loads of people. Can anyone tell me the name of the song used in this video? Thanks :)

  • these are also liberal troublemakers and middle tossers

  • what a poignant video. thank you for sharing! i work with Not In Our Town- a project that documents community responses to hate crimes AND positive community actions. We have a new video campaign; Who Cares? I Do! Heres Why...asking people to share why they stand up to intolerance...why they promote acceptance. We would love it if you shared your story! I will post the video trailer in the next comment!

  • Fuck your human rights! You have no rights, unless you are willing to fight and kill for them if necessary. That is why we have the freedoms we have in the west!

  • Amnesty international are now complicit in the Islamic jihad against the west. My how things change.

  • @iSAW7

LOL where do you people come up with rubbish like that?

  • @chrisdef15

    Google it.

  • These ordinary individuals come together to do extraordinary things for humanity. The world needs more people of such caliber.

  • i like amnestys slogan, protect the human. humans are treated worst than animals in some countries and in the UK human rights such as peaceful protest etc are being taken away from us

  • we should all have the opportunity to have a sweet drink of liberty

I propose we have small chineese children with their nimble fingers produce this drink for us. then export the sweet syurp to us to drink.

since the chineese children have never tasted the sweet syurp, they will never know what they are missing!

  • Hello, My name is Stephanie and I'm a 20 year old student with Asperger's Syndrome. a few months ago, i sent a few emails to AI regarding Autism and Human Rights and asked why they don't cover it. This is b/c other groups want to view Autism as a disease and cure us. I and many others on the ASD sprectrum do not like these groups for what they stand for. I didn't choose to be this way. plz go to my channel and click the vid 'Autism and Human Rights'. this is not spam. I am a supporter of Amnesty

  • I'd love the song being playd in this

I'd just rip it if it never had peoples voices D:

  • ahh, we watched this in assembly today. : )) me and my friends really choked up at the little kid saying 'we are not animals.'

  • im still confused about what this club is about

  • how do you join ?

  • find out the amnesty branche in your country and ask to become member

  • It's easier to be a hater these days...isn't it ??!! than to stand up for what's right ; )

    I LOVE Amnesty International xxx

  • como se llama la cancion ?? alguien sabe ? :P

  • ima supporter ^_^

  • Polluxg, you say 3 million people signed a petition supporting the death penalty in your country (Colombia). That sounds like a lot - until you consider the 42 million who didn't.

  • Thats so amazing!November 19th is my bday!

  • it's 2.2 million supporters now! :D

  • As for AI being entirely about morality... well let me ask you this, how can AI invest such huge amounts of money in advertising and PR, and not in direct support to people? Where will they find funds if HR violations ceased? I don't think any HR organization really wants to kill the goose of the golden eggs... let's face it, even altruistic organizations like AI have their dark, greedy and profiteering side, for them war and HR violations are their livelihood!

  • Outstanding... and not at batshit insane. Bewildering how you keep all of those brilliant ideas inside one head. That's it, man. AI is a clandestine, greedy, dark profiteering organization that lives to instigate conflicts and is bent destroying the earth, all the while raking in huuuuuuge profits. Got it all figured out; haven't you? Truly genius. Where the hell do you people come from? Get help, son.

  • So, you think this is a group who are feeding off the worlds situation?

They invest money in P.R to raise awareness. Having 2.2 million people sharing one voice is genuine progress

I think if all the causes A.I fight for were sorted, the members would be happy to find another job knowing they've helped eredicate the infingment of basic Human Rights.

Please do some more research in to the many positive things they've done and continue to do, it's a real inspiration!

    Go Amnesty Go!

  • Thank god for amnesty international. Ive been a proud member for 5 years now.:)

  • "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies... a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed."

    ~Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President

Copy and paste to other videos!

  • Bottom line: The death penalty is a hate crime, state-sanctioned murder. Violent crime IS significantly higher in states under the DP. Those are gov't statistics (search deathpenaltyinfo). Violence begets more violence in a destructive spiral. Is a violent society what you want? Not all of us do. Money wasted murdering people who will rot in a cell anyway could be better invested to prevent violence. That's all we're saying. But, you'll believe what you want. Time for us to rethink and evolve.

  • Hi again, well the punishment was in fact reintroduced back into US Law (State optional) back in the 70s. Therefore, I presume it was wanted to an extent.

Whether or not the punishment should be implemented should solely rest on the peoples decision and not that of an external organisation seeking total abolishment because they are technically enforcing their notion on the legal system of other nations - Thats wrong! You state that its immoral however that statement merely reflect u.... thnx

  • I can only say, as with any other non-profit humanitarian organization, AI's job is to educate. Period. While corrupt, profiteering institutions spend billions on PR for their myopic selfish interests, there is no other motive with AI and others, save morality. What's "wrong" is that the people HAVE spoken throughout history and have been repeatedly washed into complicity by ruling classes. If it were truly left to "the people's decision," the DP would've been abolished ages ago. Viva democracy!

  • Okay, I think we should just agree to disagree because Its very clear that we both hold exceptionally different believes on the issue. I consider the death penalty acceptable for specific offences and you dont. But, just because Amnesty International says abolish it that doesnt mean that everyone agrees and to resolve issues the people should be asked - Now thats true Democracy!

  • That's fine. You can believe what you want, but, again, the people have spoken on this, whether they're familiar with Amnesty International or not. Like these institutions, you'll discern to what you want or what serves your agenda. That's not to say that anyone doubts your character; I'm sure you mean well. But I would encourage you to research exactly what the people have said on this issue. What you find will likely surprise you. Or not...makes no difference to me. Really don't care to debate

  • I would hope no one doubts my character for merely disagreeing with the forceful idea of trying to vigorously remove legal capital executions from a country that clearly wishes its use whether or not as a deterrent and/or as punishment. Thanks.

  • What is interesting is that the first attempt to prosecute Saddam Hussein was on his signing of death warrants. Capital Punishment being legal in the country meant that the case fell through, yet many countries still practice this barbaric act. Most notiably, in the West anyway, the US, who were aiding the Iraqi courts in their trial against Saddam

  • That's where you're wrong, friend. The country doesn't clearly wish its use. The numbers just don't support your claim. The only reason it retains any legs, aside from the fringe minority washed into backing it, is the money. Talk to anyone involved candidly, as often as I do, and you'll hear what I've been trying to convey, namely it's a self-perpetual boondoggle and a racket for private firms & govt institutions. Divert taxpayer money, and the whole miserable justification for it collapses.

  • It is interesting to see that you know "The People" so well. I am certain that a lot of people, namely those who have been victims of certain horrendous crimes, actually endorse and support the death penalty.

  • You're certain? Interesting. AI tends to work with statistics. What do you have to support your claim?

  • I have to support my claim the fact that in my country over three million people signed a petition to congress for the DP to be instuted agains child murderers. Maybe 3 million people don't seem like much to you, when compared to the world's population,. but in my eyes that still seems like a big support for the DP

  • You again? So, you're actually reading now? That's encouraging. Well, not too, actually, as, according to your twisted logic, AI is still an evil, greedy organization bent on world domination, biting the heads off children, one baby at a time. You really need to get a life. You're absolutely clueless. So, be sure to shut yourself off from everyone and arm yourself to the teeth. AI's coming after you, slugger, to turn you gay, liberal and support baby killers. Hilarious.

  • Look up Argumentum ad numerum.

  • I think amnesty do a good job overall but I am only against their anti-death penalty views. Good Video!

  • All due respect, it's probably because you're in a shrinking minority; the numbers are against you. I would encourage you to check, but every credible study has proven capital punishment is NOT a deterrent to crime. In fact, murder rates are much higher where the death penalty is instituted. And it costs far more to kill someone who'll die in prison anyway. More importantly, it's a hate crime that solves nothing apart from making its supporters murderers too. Please read about it.

  • What statistics support that? I do believe the citizens of the Nation should be asked and the truth in numbers will follow. Moreover, I dont believe the EU (in their self-glorifying power) should themselves decide. When looking at Law, law in itself isnt a deterrent so should law be abolished then? If you commit a crime (I.e. Murder) in a State that permits the death penalty (I.e. California) then you have to pay the price Simple!

  • In terms of cost-effectiveness, this is because criminals are incarcerated for longer re-trails. In that case, cut the trials and cut the time and money will be saved.

Yes I have already studies capital executions and have drawn a conclusion. Thanks.

  • Well, I posted links, but, evidently, YouTube moderators don't care to drive traffic. Cali pays $63 mil a year in taxes for the DP alone. Florida pays $50 mil. It's a racket. It's justifiably unpopular because it's wrong. I'm not terribly concerned what you believe just so you understand that it will be rightfully abolished, like stoning, lynching, drawing and quartering and beheadings before it. Law IS effective, if criminals are prosecuted. Too much money in it. Execute justice... not people.

  • I support Amnesty International 1 trillion %. They do fantastic work.

  • Agreed 1 trillion %

  • you are a complete joke otixofuma. enough said.

Amnesty are simply pro-choice, they protect the right of the human to make choices for themselves completely unhindered by institutions such as governments and religions that continually try to control and suppress these rights. Governments are creations emanating from a school of thought, why should they have all the control over life and death?

  • how's this song called?

  • does anyone know how this song is called?

  • i totally agree with ghiz8 and management position because some people need to get a grip and accept that they do good but sometimes bad with the abortion thing discussed in this so i think people should stop being so for it or againts it

  • AI is great!

does anyone know the name of the song in the video?

  • Oh please; I try to stay neutral when commenting but your comparison of NAMBLA to AI disgusts me.

  • These ignorant comments are incredebly frustrating: Amnesty International is a human rights organisation; it stands for human rights FOR ALL. In response to the seemingly ongoing argument in the comments here about AI's stance on abortion, I understand that AI do not ENCOURAGE abortion, but campaign for it to be available for all women.

  • Surely it is understandable that a victim of rape who then becomes pregnant may not want to keep the child. Amnesty cannot solve all the world's problems, but I dread to think where we would be without them.

  • mgmtposition

of course, amnesty hav to take a stand, and yeh they dont encourage abortion, but by saying abortion should be available for all women, they are approving of abortion, you cant deny that

sum say this is defending womens rights, fair enuf. but others say its stripping the rights of humans. since feti, are considered by sum to be human beings, an 8wk fetus has eyes, fingers, heartbeat, v human traits, & 20wk fetus can survive out of mum

but AI still do loads of good

  • Of course, and I understand your point entirely. Glad to see some people can see both sides of an argument :).

  • Jgtemplars despite the fact that I impartially agree that nothing is done to help children murdered by abortion, I think it is irradical to complain to an organisation that are doing their upmost to help people all around the world, as the video proved they have had many positive results and outcomes. But you cannot expect one organisation alone to deal with everything, I am just very grateful for all the lives they have saved so far and think their work is brilliant. I loved this video too.

  • This video is really good,

when the boy says 'we are not animals' i got really emotional

can somebody please tell me what the song is?

    Much appreciated if you can!

    Great video, thanks for posting!

  • amnesty's the shit, im glad i work for them

  • I'm glad you work for them too, and I'm glad I'm a member!

  • same.

  • @zaibabu FAIL

  • @zaibabu

you should be ashamed of your self, you are looking to free people who have committed murder, rape, child molestation, and terrorism

  • @zaibabu Good for you! I've been searching,, with my misaligned outlook,, to find,,,home,, a decent place to work. I never eve felt safe in my own house.

  • yo...whats wrong with the black guy

    r u ok !!

  • I got ur point! LOL!!!

  • bunch of hypocrites runnig this Org.

  • I was at the UK Amnesty AGM that voted in favour of the change in AI's official stance on this matter and in no way does it support abortion - I suggest you READ the official policies/documentation and you will see this. It has been blown out of proportion and twisted into a newsworthy story that is completely incorrect and misleading. I think the term is 'Chinese whispers'... please read the facts before you jump to an incorrect opinion about Amnesty International.

  • @alicaurusrex

Just know, if you support the mass murder of children in the womb ... you will not gain the support of the average american.

  • @FillTheirVoid Firstly, I don't support that. Secondly, if you believe that Amnesty supports that then you should do your research.

  • @alicaurusrex Amnesty international wants to give out free abortions. they also support infanticide in the third world.

  • @pgthinker007 My impression is that you need to consider the implications of what you say before you do so. Murmuring non-aggravated and inherently false insults is no way to get your point across - which, it would seem, is that we should do everything possible to deny people their most fundamental human rights.

Your comments smack of sadism and apathy to the most important causes facing the world today.

  • Why amnesty can't intervene in India where thousands of muslims and christians are killed every year by Vishwa Hindu Parshad, fascist organisation of hindu extremists?.

  • That is complete rubbish, they are a wonderful organisation working to protect the human.

    This means all humans.

    I love this organisation.

And I love that I'm a part of it!

  • All humans? Where has Amnesty International been for the many children who have been murdered by abortion??

  • I certainly know they have intervened in religious persecution cases before ... although reforming the planet to abide by human rights is a long and difficult task.

I would urge you to contact AI directly with your concerns; it is excellent that you have brought it up.

  • Nothing doing. I am totally fed up with them. I totally agreed with pgthinker007, its only a money making organisation.

  • Dont mind Carrionsong1, hes just a sad uneducated racist.

  • Amnesty Internationl can kiss my ass.

  • The organization has no leverage over the foreign government and does not even cooperate with the U.S. or the United Nations. My impression is that it is only money making organization.

  • You will find that it is the United States that does not cooperate.

But of course it does not -- it violates human rights in just about every way imaginable.

It continues to practice the death penalty.

    It continues to torture.

It continues to intrude upon civilians' privacy.

The United States has a lot to answer for.

  • The strength of Amnesty lies in that it is not affiliated with governments, religion, nor ethnicity.; and that it is not-for-profit. Amnesty derives its funds from donors, and the staff work for less than what they would make should they have decided to work in another industry, with their qualifications. The offices in some countries have only a handful of people working there, and offices in other countries have an army of volunteers and interns who provide their time and skills for free.
