Organizations can apply to be part of this, but there is a lot of paper work that goes into it. That's part of the reason the animal shelter I work with decided not to participate. You can't blame Disney or the organization. They are just trying to make sure that they don't get screwed over with illegitimate organizations because I could see that happening with this promotion.

This is terrific. Disney usually promote these videos on the Disney Channel. This is the kind of influence children need. I watch the Kids channels when my niece comes on and some of the garbage they promote to kids now is bull. I even got roped into thinking a toy was awesome and wanted it for myself. (Shame on me) But this is great now kids are growing up knowing that they can make a difference. How much fun, and what a reward for such a small amount of effort!

Wow! It's amazing to me how Disney can create such a magical video with stop-motion and post-it notes. Their persuasive techniques are used cleverly in this specific video. I feel pumped to go out and volunteer after watching this! Way to go Disney.

Sorry but I am only home once a week and I try to do everything in 1 day that you might have ALL WEEK to do. There is a list of oppertunities for me that are more than 1 hr away for me to get to. I have tried to volunteer at a couple of places dignated by a list of particapating agencies and they wouldn't let me volunteer because I was doing it for a Disney ticket. They all said that they wanted me to volunteer a spacific amount of time in which I didn't have all the time for. Almost seems like this is a scam. But I still love Disney and will still go there even though this promotion is not working for people like me that have very little time to be able to take advantage of this. BOOOO!

It's not a scam, sounds like the agency is being stubborn and they shouldn't turn you down but that is not Disney's fault, by Disney doing this they are getting people to volunteer and change things for the better and reward you for it, by no means is it a scam.

No sense in arguing with you seeing as you haven't even tried to volunteer as I have. Thank you very much. I still love Disney even though I would still have to be there with you as a non volunteer as they have made me seeing as I have no chance to volunteer at the designated places. I will just keep volunteering for free as I have been for something else. Thanks again.

Why does every seem so tense on YouTube now-a-days? I was pointing out it's not scam and that was all, I know you can't volunteer through any Disney is involved with but that doesn't make it a scam, that was the whole point of my comment. I am a Cast Member working in the Magic Kingdom and it is my pleasure to bring joy and happiness to my Guests everyday, and I only hope I can do the same for you.

1st I mention it seemed like a scam.

2nd None of these people are even thinking about volunteering. They are all commenting on how cool the video is and not the fact that we need to volunteer. I think cupcakeandtea really needs to get it straight before she makes a comment about nothing she know about. I have volunteered at various places ad this promotion isn't for everyone and Disney needs to know this and advertise appropriatly.

I'm sure Disney knows that but the only have a limited time space on commercials. Disney doesn't really advertise much, they don't need to, word of mouth promotes them so much greater than TV ads. Besides, how many other companies advertise false information, just about everyone. Disney is one of the most honest advertisers.
