"The minority, the ruling class at present, has the schools and press, usually the Church as well, under its thumb. This enables it to organize and sway the emotions of the masses, and make its tool of them."
~ Albert Einstein, letter to Sigmund Freud, 30 July 1932
@HeyIamHarryPotter "Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an INVISIBLE GOVERNMENT owing NO allegiance and acknowledging NO responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul this unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of today." PRESIDENT THEODORE ROOSEVELT, 1906
@HeyIamHarryPotter This passage is from The incredible marquis by Herbert Gorman entitled the soldier of fortune(chapter six) It was natural that Dumas believed implicitly in the magic of somnambulism, in animal magnetism and in chiromancy. No Haitian negro dancing before his Voodoo altar was more superstitious than Dumas. Home, to Dumas, therefore, was an authentically inspired adept in communicating with unseen world.
@HeyIamHarryPotter Have we succeeded? We think so. Before long we shall have covered with our narratives an enormous period of time; between the "Comtesse de Salisbury' and the "Comte de Monte Christo" five centuries and a half are compresed. Well, we assert that we have taught France as much history about those five centuries and a half as any historian. This passage is from The Companions of Jehu which was written by Alexandre Dumas pere.

How many of you have read the entire series? From The Three Musketters to The Man in the Iron Mask? If you have, please message me. I'd like to ask your opinion about some things, and share mine as well.
@laylo1717 Yeah, the only way for them to miss would be if they were firing blanks or missing intentionally. The four of them pretty much filled up the hallway.
@theqwertyops Oh yeah, lol. I was counting D'artagnan, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis as three people, because i was thinking three musketeers= three people, forgetting that D'artagnan was not one of the three musketeers...
Hey guys, lemme tell you bout this lil girl named "heatherkitty": she lie, lie, lie , LIE! She lie about everything under the goddamn sun, she even lie about how good her pussy is..
@HeatherKitty123 'I do not like the reappearance of The Jesuits ... If ever there was a body of men who merited damnation on earth and in hell, it is this society of Loyola's. Nevertheless, we are compelled by our system of religous toleration to offer them an asylum.' John Adams, 2nd President of the U.S.A
Omg when I was a kid this video scared the living shit out of me, no joke, I still have nightmares about that scary looking mask every now and then........ :(
@Linibambini But however the rest of the film is good, I like the part where they all throw their hats off like they own the joint and kill the musketeer fuckers, haha thats so dope
My family watched this together and we all noticed right away that none of them could look as they shot. My friend moved in with me, and I showed it to her. We ended up watching it at least three times a day!! This is one of my favorite movies!
whats funny is at 0:46 you hear felipe talking in the mask and it sounds just like his voice perfectly, but ealier in this movie at the scene where they are getting ready to break out the man in the iron mask for the first time and you dont know that is leonardo dicaprio as a twin brother to the king his voice is so much deeper and disguised, i know its cause the first time you werent suppose to have any clues it was a twin brother so had to change the voice but still funny to think about

yep, run through all that gunfire but miraculously come out looking cool and unscathed. I always thought that scene was just too cheesy.
elenore88 8 months ago
@elenore88 it isn't miraculously, they didn't get harmed because the other people with the guns did not want to harm them, they missed on purpose!

caused him not to speak? I mean if I was hidden for 6 years.
