  • very stupid.. no point for a stock tc to be lowered due to traction control.. i have a tc.. and u make me ashamed to have one

  • @hunchback234 i agree. Very stupid to lower a stock tc. i just did it for the looks, man. it looks ridiculous at stock height. traction control? not like im gonna be auto x'ing it. or even taking corners fast...again, i just did it for the looks. no need to hate bro.

  • @hunchback234 ROFL what the hell are you talking about?? Lowering springs have absolutely nothing to do with traction control, this is not even mentioning that the only year of Scion tC to ever have traction control is the 2011, and the video depicts a 2006 model year. The only thing lowering springs effect is the linkage geometry in the suspension.

I doubt you have a tC, and if you do, you know absolutely nothing about the car you own, which is equally as sad as your post.

  • @hunchback234 Looks better and Handles Better. Whats so stupid about it that?

  • @hunchback234 your user name is "hunchback". nuff said.

  • seriously looking to buy the megan racings springs... how is the ride on them?

  • @Bikerboi Did you have to make any control arm/camber adjustments?

  • @pagelikeinabook like as in an alignment? yes. after 2 weeks, negative camber was noticeable in the rear. took it to get an alignment and they got it as close to spec. got -1.5 for the rear. better than what it was. i think it was like at -2.1 camber.

  • How much are payments for one of these? I'm liking these and kia forte koups.. but not sure what to get!

  • @Josephboii92 i found them on ebay for 150 for my nissan.

  • @Josephboii92 im payin 250 a month for my scion tc..

  • @Bikerboi think you can measure how much clearance you have after your front wheel? I really appreciate all your help!

  • @CSQUAR3DsBaCk sorry for not replying quickly...its 5.5 inches.

  • @Bikerboi I forgot to ask, how is it going over speed bumps?

  • @CSQUAR3DsBaCk doesnt scrape. it clears...but if you have people in the back seat it will scrape. but the speed bump has to be super tall for it to scrape with people in the back

  • @Bikerboi I actually was looking at grabbing S techs because of that sort of aggressive stance. But either way, I'm gonna give these springs a go! Some people have said the back ain't low enough, others have said the back looks lower than the front! I want your honest opinions and thoughts. Thanks and very much appreciate your help.

  • @CSQUAR3DsBaCk yeah. no problem man.

  • @Bikerboi Without the sub in the rear, would you say the back looks a little lower than the front? By what I'm seeing, I'm pretty sold on buying these springs!

  • @CSQUAR3DsBaCk yeah. its even without the sub. awesome man! you won't regret buying them. they are amazing.

  • @bikerboi How were the springs after a year? Would you say they stayed the same? Or did they settle a little more than 2"?

I saw your 1 year vid but I wanted to know because you have sub in the back and that's weighing the rear down.

  • @CSQUAR3DsBaCk They stayed the same. Yea, I would have thought that they would settle more because of the box but they actually didnt. which is pretty damn good for just springs.

  • you love the ride.. its not too harsh. Blatantly your lying..

  • @MountMorse haha. i expected the ride to be bad because i have stock shocks. and i think at the time i meant feel the road more.

  • @MountMorse I have the S-Techs and I love the ride. Not harsh at all......

  • @ProTuner06 how low are you s-techs?

  • do u need to install camber kit after?

  • @mctapout187 you will need a camber kit if you want the camber to be completely gone. i dont have a camber kit though cause -1.5 isn't that bad.

  • @Bikerboi just curious cuz im planning on buying 1.8 inch drop springs and was wondering if i had to redo the alignment.

  • @mctapout187 i think any thing bigger than a 2 inch drop would need a camber kit. but no matter what kind of lowering you do, you'll need an alignment cause it'll be off big time. whoever does the alignment will get it the closest to specification.

  • with a drop that low do you need to get new shocks too? I have an 07 tc and I want a 2" drop but not if i need to get new shocks as well.

  • @smartpartsSUCKS i didnt get new shocks. i still got the stock shocks on after a year and they are still good.

  • meant to say coiilovers

  • @bmelgar92 all i have is the lowering springs. i dont have the coilovers.

  • ohh so the best option for me is to get coilers..and how much are those??...how low are you planning to go if you get coilers!

  • is 2inches too low?? do you scratch ur front bumper getting in a driveway? if u do how low do you recommend?

  • @bmelgar92 Its a pretty decent drop. i do scratch on some driveways but they have to be really steep. when i know the driveway is steep, i just go up diagonally.

  • @Bikerboi ohh ok thank you because i have a scion as well..and thinking of dropping it ...and another question ..does it HAVE to be dropped two inches with the megan racing lowering springs or u can drop it one inch or an inch and a half

  • @bmelgar92 yeah its 2 inches only. They are only the springs so they are not adjustable. You can get the Tein h-techs. those lower the front 1.9 inches and the rear 1.5 inches.

But if you have the money, go with coilovers. I might be getting coilovers pretty soon so i can i adjust them to what ever height i want.

  • did u have to do any modifications or cut anything off the original struts when replacing the springs?

  • @BUSAFLY123 The only modification i had to do was to cut the front bumpstops in half. other than that, all you need to do is just to take the stock spring off and put the lowering springs in the exact same position.

  • @Bikerboi cool, thats what i meant, asom, just the front bumpstops???

  • @BUSAFLY123 yup. just front bump stops. if u have any other question, feel free to ask me.

  • Wait did you just do lowering springs, I thought just doing lowering springs made your struts wear out.

  • @mazda6tuner99 yeah. i did springs only. i also heard that it wears the struts out. they are still good after one year...im thinking about getting coilovers soon...thats when i get enough money though.

  • @Bikerboi I'm with ya man. I have to wait till the end of the year for a company that sells nice coilovers for tiburons. They sell them cheap too! thats why I'm waiting

  • @mazda6tuner99 what company? there are 2 companies that sell coilover kits for cheap. they are actually too cheap to even trust but what i've read on forums, they actually are recommended if u are on a budget and only use the car for daily driving.

  • @Bikerboi

They are called raceland coilovers from racelandus. They say they have a higher spring rate, but everyone who has bought them loves them. There supposed to me around 450ish.

  • @mazda6tuner99 those are the same ones the people on the forums were talking about. i might get those also. there is another brand that im looking at too. they are called rokkor tuning.

  • @Bikerboi I checked them out and they seem very similar to the raceland coilovers lol Well hey man, you go a nice car. Good luck my friend, go far and mod it to the best of your abilities,

  • @mazda6tuner99 yeah. they are similar. thanks man. hopefully i get them soon.

  • did you change shocks as well or no ?

  • how much did the spring and installing cost all together?

  • @ReactionzTheSecond the springs cost $115 brand new from raceinspired . com.

i installed them with some help from my dad and uncle.

  • @Bikerboi thanks. looks great by the way. n

  • im getting those same ones for my 95 toyota celica and I'm getting them 2" as well

  • @BUSAFLY123 nice!

  • @BUSAFLY123 can you give me full description on the coilovers... cause u have 94 celica.. its soo hard to find any good moods for it

  • @driftking11013 im getting megan racing 2" lowering springs, not coilovers, i got them at race inspired . com

  • @BUSAFLY123 thats what i meant.. could you make a video of how it looks... thanks

  • @driftking11013 lol, i havent gotten them installed yet, -_____-, first ima get my Invidia N1 muffler welded on, then ima buy 4 new struts to put the new springs on them,

  • Do you scrape the ground a lot or is that barely a problem

  • @tomuchchocolatemilk its barely a problem. i dont scrape on any speed bumps. its only the really steep driveways that scrape. they have to be really steep though.

when u have a full car though, thats a different story. i went grocery shopping and my back seat was pretty full. when i went over the speed bump in that shopping center, i scraped

  • Needs moreee lowww ;) haha

  • @koolkiddd760 i knoooww -_-

at least it doesnt look like im about to go off roading now.

  • when u lower a car does it wear out the inside portion of the tires?

  • @Titan9mm it does wear out the inside of the tires but thats if u dont get an alignment. what i did was wait 2 weeks for the springs to settle THEN get an alignment. firestone did a real good job at getting the alignments close to spec.

if u go lower than i'd say 2.5inches, u would probably need camber kits to fix the camber for it to not wear out the tires.

  • how much for the spring s bro, an where did u get em .. lookn nice

  • @MrSkinepimp i got them for $110 brand new from raceinspired . com

    they're $119 now.

thanks man. the drop is perfect. i dont scrape everywhere where i go, which is good. but i wanna lower it even more. im gonna get some coilovers when i get the money.

  • Sweet. Thanks for ur help

  • @sambolia2424 no problem.

  • Have u had any issues with speed bumps or scraping.

  • @sambolia2424 no speedbump issues at all. just coming out of driveways. they have to be pretty steep though.

  • Sweet. That pretty much what I am looking for

  • Does it make a noticeable difference in ride quality. Do u feel bumps more and is it better in turns. I got a tc and am thinking about gettin them

  • @sambolia2424 i do notice more bumps and can take corners faster. there is no "roll" when turning which is awesome. to me its perfect if you want a close to stock ride quality.

  • Is it low to the point where you have to watch for speed bumps?

  • @KBear1278 no not at all. i do have to be careful with big speed bumps when i have people in the back seat. they have to be pretty big for me to scrape though.

  • @Bikerboi r ight thanks. i saw these online a couple of days ago and ordered them.I was just worried that they would be to low. thanks again.

  • @KBear1278 to me, they are the most perfect drop. i have no rubbing or scraping at all. except for super steep driveways....they suck.

i plan on going lower with some coilovers though...

  • @Bikerboi nice, i just didn't want any problems. I wanted to put some 18 inc.h rims on mine without no worries. just tryin to get my moneys worth.

  • @KBear1278 they are definitely worth the money. 18's would be perfect with this drop. i would get 18's but dont have any money cause im going to spend it on the coilovers.

  • @Bikerboi yea i know what you mean. i like coilovers cause you can adjust them but the rims are everything to me. let me know how how it looks later on. I'd like to see how it turned out. thanks man.

  • @KBear1278 no problem. i'll keep it updated when i get the coilovers on.

put a vid up of ur car lowered on the rims when u do it.

  • @Bikerboi r ight i will.

  • is this the only thing you have to buy to lower it?

  • @Crackheadrobot if u want a little drop. yeah. all u need is the springs. the biggest drop with only springs is 2.4inches in the front and 2inches in the back. thats with tien s-tech springs. i have megan racing springs that lower it 2inches all around.

if u want it to go lower, you'll need coilovers which can lower the car a lot. the most i've seen is a 4 inch drop.

  • @Bikerboi well im about to order these exact ones for my 99 civic, is this all i need to order?

  • @Crackheadrobot yeah. thats it. it just replaces the stock shocks. you re-use everything else.

  • @Bikerboi alright cool

how hard was the install? did you do it your self?

  • @Crackheadrobot the install wasn't that hard. i had some step by step instructions with pictures that really helped a lot. i had some help from my uncle. so have someone that knows a little bit about cars help out. you'll also need some spring compressors to take the spring off of the strut.

  • whats your tint percentage on the front windows?

  • @ThePhenom23 i think its 25%

cant remember. sorry. i did the tint RIGHT when i got the car which was in 2006.

  • you install by yourself, it's easy or hard, does u recommended professional?

  • @Vuehmong yes i did install them but with a little help.

i would recommend professional if you dont know anything about suspension.

  • @Vuehmong yes i did install them but with a little help. it was the hardest compared to what i have done to my car.

i would recommend professional if you dont know anything about suspension.

  • PRICE?

  • @JassonWyY got them for $120 brand new off raceinspired . com

    they have super quick shipping.

  • Did u have to adjust ur camber at all?

  • @bigsexyman954 yeah. my camber was off. i think it was like -3. i just got an alignment 2 weeks after the install. there is still a little camber, but its not as bad.

  • Why is the passanger rear spring upsidedown?
