excellent live version...but the studio version has more consistent snap to the drum hits, a slightly faster pace...and viewed from 42 years hindsight, the studio version is a textbook 17-minute play-along lesson on almost every element of '70s punk you'd ever need.

I just gave it my thumbs up. How could I not? This live version gives the studio recording a run for its money. Lou's phrasing sounds Dylanesque on "I didn't like the weather" and "just like Sister Ray said."

@Shindig109 - This isn't really a "take". Back in the day of analog cassette tapes VU fans used to trade bootleg tapes of live shows. There are lots of live recordings of The Velvet Underground floating around.

I love the studio version of this song. It's definitely one of the coolest tunes ever. This version of it is awesome too. I enjoy what sounds like a slower grungier sound to it. The vocals come through clearer too.
