@OGdbleE That's more or less the gist of it, he got away because they were chowing down on his wife and kid, I believe.

@MAINIAK76 Yeah there is only 6 episodes in the first season. I read somewhere, I think on IGN, that season two has been confirmed to 13 episodes.

@Scrughat they are all infected. It's only the bite that is so riddled with bacteria that kills 'em, unless they amputate the limb and stop the spreading, they've all already caught the infection that brings them back to life, they've just got to die.

I guess that might be a spoiler to anyone reading but Kirman was never big on epic reveals so he didn't even make it significant when they found out in the comic, maybe the show will treat it differently.
